Here's an idea. Maybe men and women could all just stop blaming each other for what other men and women have done, and go back to falling in love again? Might that work?
I hardly think it matters what race the real father might be. The point as I see it is, the woman intended to lie about the paternity. Whether she might have gotten away with it or not does not change the fact, she was gonna lie.
Sorry Gin to necessitate so much scrolling up, but my point is, you implied guys want a convenient maid/cook. You didn't say how commonly. I suggested, in what I thought was fairness, the option of a convenient provider/defender. So, in response now, I'd say, it's as often the case as what you suggested.
All so true, Sas. I might add, though, kids understand a lot more than most grups think. They might not be able to define the word "divorce," or use it in a sentence, but they grasp its meaning far earlier than parents suspect.
My folks divorced when I was 15. There was a little sniping and carping, but no real acrimony. Funny thing is, at 15 I was not at all surprised. It had been clear to me for many years before they simply didn't care all that much for each other, and were merely going through the motions. Kids, even much younger than I was, do understand, as long as you don't lie to them about it.
Fair enough, but I gathered the OP meant, she loved the idea of men, man as symbol, rather than each individual man around the world. Just as I might say, I love women, but that doesn't mean I love Sarah Palin.
And, a tribute to the most well-mannered and civil fella I've met on CS. Some hasty folk like to badmouth his nation, but he proves them wrong simply by being gracious and friendly.
Lest I forget...I don't know him all that well, but he sure seems like one of the friendliest Kiwis I've met. (And for you gals, he puts the "speed" in "Speedo."
