I don't know the quote, but it sounds like Schopenhauer. Anyway, I think ya gotta build your own life first, so you're cool with it, and you're happy, and life is grand. It's a bit of work, yes. But when you do, when it no longer matters whether the right partner comes along or not...they do.
There's a song by Roxy Music, "More Than This," which appears on their Avalon album:
The song never specifies what "this" is, but rather asks: "More than this, no there's nothing/More than this, tell me one thing." But I think the song describes the feeling of falling in love. Consider lines like: "Fallen leaves in the night/Who can say where they're blowing?" and "The sea on the tide/Has no way of turning." So, if that's what the song is about, I agree. There is nothing "more" than that.
Me, I've been blessed, in my life. I've known that feeling 3 times, and to me, no, there is nothing "more" than that.
I can understand your feelings, Mr. Seeker, but think: she may be reading your post right now. Is "angry and frustrated" the image you want to project? Is that likely to appeal to her?

I did ask specifically about Saudi Arabia, not about sharia law.
