My Happy New Year Wishes For You

I wish for all CS poets a happy new year
May 2013 be a year filled with joy and cheer
Certainly there will be a few scares and tears
But the Gods won’t give anyone more than he can bear
Take time to hug and kiss the one you hold dear
Those that can and have time to spare
Share with a friend a jug of beer cheers

May you from time to time go out and dine
Never forgetting the difference made by a bottle of wine wine
Seeking good for others may you always be inclined
And with the ones aspiring to reach the stars yourself align
May you never to hopelessness and despair ever resign?
Always expecting your endeavors to be a gold mine
May 2013 be a year that turn out just fine

Today it rained

Today it rained
What is so special about that you ask?
We laughed and cried tears of relief
Finally we will have a sembelance of normalcy to life

Today it rained
Finally an end to the misery
The heat, sweat and dust
Oh, how I look forward to a bath at last

Today it rained
And now the crops can be planted
The fields have been plowed and are waiting
There shall be an abundance of food

Today it rained
Yearnings and prayers answered
No more looking at the sky and wondering
When will end this misery and strain?

Today it rained
Sweet showers of rain
What can bring more Joy
Than sweet showers of rain

The Females Lament

Lazy males lying, idle, asleep while we burn
Hardly ever knowing when the time is right
When it is their turn
Most times they have to be rebuffed
We are not ready and they want to do stuff
And they have a tendency to be so gruff and rough
And so we teach them to behave like one of us
We make them gentle and docile and forget about such stuff
And to forget that they are different from us
Ever so often they miss when our time is right
So we have to rouse them and them excite
For we would have them enjoy our delights
Now they need not fear about being rough
The best they can give we can handle that stuff
Now they cannot outdo us for we cannot get enough
They has to stop and recharge but not us
They need not worry about their great big size
We may be small but can handle whatever they realize
Matters not how large whatever they got we can handle that
There they go again lazy males asleep and resting
And in our heat we burn
Now we have to excite them for it is their turn

About this poem:
one of the times when I fell like poking fun at us males. So often the males of many species suffer the same fate.

A Tribute to The Almighty God

The greatest of human philosophers cannot by reasoning prove that you exist
And yet nature testifies that you are real
You are not a magic potion
Still you are the all sufficient one for those that trust in you
You are not a charm or amulet
But you banish all darkness, fear and evil
You cannot be inhaled, absorbed, ingested, digested or given intravenously
Yet you empower man’s total being with strength
You cannot be seen, touched, heard, tasted or smelt
And yet you…..
Are seen through the eyes of understanding
Touched by faith that bring about wholeness
Tasted through digestion of your words which is sweet
Heard as you impresses your word upon the heart
Smelt as the heart ponders your awesomeness
Those that mock you in life
Tremble at the thought of meeting you at death
Those who are persecuted because of you
Endure such persecution with gladness and joy
For you control the forces of nature
And uses them to accomplish your purposes
When other need multiple gods to satisfy their needs
You surpass all any man can need and more
You are so great no one name adequately describe you
El, Elyon,El Shaddai, El Olam, Adanoi, Yahweh, Jehovah and more
You are the Almighty One, the great creator, LORD of all
You are the most wonderful, most glorious, most powerful being in the universe
You are the Almighty God

A Tribute To Women

Endowed with beauty both in body and disposition
You are the masterpiece of God's creation
And who can add anything to perfection
Designed and equipped so well to care and nurture
Depository of wisdom that will influence the future
Entrusted with bearing earth's great ones
Nourishing body, mind, spirit and soul
Ensuring the whole being is healthy and whole
Ignoring one's place in the social order
Pope, king, president, or pauper
This is the way and no other
Born cherished and cared
By a woman and mother

The Masterpiece

No genius could have conceived you creation
Compass air, sky sea or land and nothing to you correspond
Physically weaker but superior to your companion man
You are the force behind his efforts and aspiration
For when he has acquired honor, fortune and acclaim
All is vain if he has no woman with whom to share the same
When to you charm and beauty he cannot respond
Then despair set in knowing he is a living dead man
And when the mighty men of this earth boast and grow bold
Gently you remind " it was I your early years did mold"
The proud declared to the world that I am the greatest
You smirked and declared I am better than you
Have you forgotten I nursed you on my breasts
Designed with such beauty and grace
Bearer of all that comprises the human race
Many the tyrant that rule with force and might
You in turn rule with you delights
Though tough and ever so ruthless among men
Yet ever so gentle and docile when courting your smile
For that which is taken by might and power
Pale in comparison to what you freely give
What can be compared to the charm of you smile
That make a man’s heart beat so erratic and wild
And oh how the pulses race
As those glorious moments with you anticipate
Praise be to the one that did you design
On earth there is not another of your kind

True To His Nature

Traitor could you not me betray
For once not carry sway
Could you not reject and not relish
That serving of your favorite dish

With joy and pride you did swell
Your character is known all too well
Taking joy in forbidden delights
Knowing well it was not right

Displaying weakness by being strong
Going where you know you belong
With joy and ecstasy to you submit
Taking to mountains without summit

So you rose big and tall
Instead of remaining weak and small
Resist no way could you a serving
Delights that you are not deserving

Lament Of A Dog

I know that I was a dog when I was born
Now I do not know what I have become
Man in his insanity to create
Have gone about me to remake
First he would not have me see a second generation
So it was to the vet for sterilization
For he would not have me pass on my genes
Lest my off springs behave like his wayward teens
To the store I am brought and bought doggy clothes
I did not know I had anything I need to fear being exposed
Then he went about to change my character
That I am a dog first and foremost did not factor
When I would like to be outside running wild
I am locked in a house as a companion for his child
So I grow lazy and fat
Punishment lay in store if for fun I dare look at the cat
Imagine me a dog expected to sit and watch television
And to show excitement and appreciation
Where there is deficient love and devotion
I the dog am recipient of those emotions
Now I am no longer a dog
I have become a member of the family
What I have become I really hate
I wish man would my doghood reinstate
For I must do the things man think a dog enjoy
When rather I would do what makes a dog doggone happy

Just A Single Grain

Just a single grain
Too small to in the pot have an impact
So in the ground I scratched a hole
Place and covered it and then about it forgot
But the earth was fertile, the rains fell and the sun was hot
And it so happened I had chosen a good spot
The following year I passed that way again
To my surprise there ready to reap was a super abundant crop
Deciding to experiment I reaped and planted again the whole lot
This time I ploughed the ground removing thorns and rocks
The earth was fertile but still I added more
Destroying every plant except those I wanted to grow
And guarded against all that would the tender leaves destroy
Month by month I marveled as the plants before my eyes grew
There was another super crop in the making I knew
Then came the time for me to reap again
Eat it all I could not so I gave to my friends
But this the harvest did not dent
Replant it all I could not so the I had to sell
A seed you may not have but it may be a thought in your head
Act upon it and do not let it go to waste
Who can tell with what reward to you one day it might return

Questions I'D Like to Ask Death

Are you as bad as some make you out to be?
The grim reaper, cheater of destiny
Enemy to joy and peace
The one that of long life many cheat
Are you that unwelcome one that awaits?
To take your victims to another place
Bringer of anguish, grief and pain to Adams race
Do you know those that you embrace?
Men look on with distaste
Do you take your victims down below?
Where some say infernal fires glow
Or do you take them up to the sky above?
To that place of joy, peace and love
Surely some of your victims you could release
Instead of them forever keep
Could you not send someone to tell of their estate?
After they have passed through your gates
But then maybe you are a welcome guest
Taking men to their eternal rest
That ever blissful land
Where no pain or sorrow afflict man
Should one anticipate your coming and wait?
Dressed and ready to enter those pearly gates
Or will you come and snatch the unwary one?
Do you take joy in bringing grief to man?
Should you be greeted with exultation?
Knowing it’s graduation to higher station

Death do you know one day you too shall die?
Shall you like your victims weep and cry?

OOH!!! WOMEN

The ancient gods dwelling on Mt. Olympus heights
Being gods were subjected to wrongs and rights
Tempted by the rather tantalizing sights
They disguised themselves as men in their plight
Then came and enjoyed the women's delights
Angels too leaving their own estate
Succumbed to temptations that were great
Came they and sampled what was forbidden their taste
For how the women came equipped they too could appriciate
And the angels indulged and with women did procreate
Throughout history many a man that stood so tall
Women have been their downfall
And now the women complain, lament and insist
That us mere mortal men should desist
Wanting what the gods and angels could not resist

Cheers Prince Harry

It ia a good thing you were shown with a dame
When to the world was exposed your shame
Had you been shown with a man
From our ranks, you we would have to ban
The world was shown you in your birthday suit
So we hope you did not forget your boot
We hope if you took her to bed
That you did not forget to cover your head
The world they would have see your private
Good thing you used your hands to cover it
For some that you in friendship embraced
Would rather see you disgraced
we respect that you participated in the game
Seeing we would have done the same
Big up to you playing like a man
The royals may you ban
Therefore I propose this plan
We ask our government to name you an honorary Jamaican
