Because I love her

Because I love her I will suffer
in silence if need be..
I'll hide my tears deep in my
pillow and in the morning sip
a lonely cup of coffee
In moments hopeful I'll dream
of what could be
In times of distress I'll fancy her
finger tips upon my cheek
In moonless nights her perfume
and painted lips purr within my
dreams
Because I love her I must suffer
the pain of loss
I must be a man and go my own
way because she..has found
another.

The Gray People

They are among us..
You brush against them
on a public street
You share the water fountain
with them at your work
They sit in the stands at your
sons little league game
Even your pastor may conceal
his identity behind a mysterious
smile
Yet, an unsuspecting society goes
about its business unaware of its
inevitable and total subjugation of..
The Gray People
To date ,the only witness allegedly
to have actually encountered a Gray
was found drowned in a giant vat of
tomato soup along with a half eaten
grill cheese sandwich still stuffed in
his mouth
But there are other stories of mysterious
disappearances which the government
refuses to disclose to the general public
We only know that the local water somehow
tastes strangely different and a select group
of women have given birth to infants with
oddly shaped eyes
I, have even found myself gazing at the stars
And offering up hotdogs from a late night
cook out to whatever strange alien or diety
that is pulling our souls into its unstopable
vortex
This morning, I awoke to a quiet and sleepy
town shuffling through the streets like drugged
zombies
Even Mary Sue, my highschool sweetheart was
among the bedazed morning walkers and
although she usually abhorred my presence
was magically kind this eerie morning
For me this invasion had taken a turn for
the better as I then began to call upon
all the girls who had jilted me and persuaded
them to make restitution
Yes, I guess you could say that I have
become spokesman for the Gray People
We mean you no harm and it is useless
to resist us
Join us my friends and we shall conquer
the world!

Spring cometh!

In the winter months you would
find me sleeping in my cave
The bones of weaker prey are
sprawled about
None dare awaken me for death
would be certain
Yet my deep slumber is disturbed
by the sent of female
With a snarl I warn all would be
contenders lurking about
I stretch and yawn and sharpen
my claws on my cave wall
I emerge to a bright morning sun
Shemale dazzles my senses
I perch on a high rock
Below, maidens are trembling in
the brush like lost lambs
It was then I thought to myself
Surely..I shall pounce on them all.

Morñing wisdom

'If we always do what we've always done,
we'll always be where we've always been..'
So..
Get with it
Change course in mid stream
Drag out your secret talent collecting
dust in the lonely halls of your memory
You know what I'm talking about
Pinch yourself
Wake up before your dreams slip away
silently into the night
Lifes clock is forever ticking and is no
respector of persons
Take a step
Take it now
Take it!
Scream!
But.. Move!
It is called .a Living spiritual action.

The man she really wants

The man she really wants won't
be found in some scribbled poem
He won't dial her number as she
sobs by a late night phone
For she knows that he is born of
magic which the wind cannot contain
Only He understands her smiles and
the sorrow of her rain
She awaits for him to decend with
sword and shield in hand
She reasons her children will florish
in a sweet and conquered land
But she awakens to the kiss of her
prince, yet it's to sad for words to tell
For she lived her life as a devil
And now she abides in Hell..

What men want

WANTED:

Women who:
Smile at this poem then
tuck it in their dress

Who..
Like the smell of fresh hay,
and fake a blush with what
I just whispered in her ear

Who..
Will walk bare footed on a
wet country road

Who..
Could pitch a tent on the banks
of a hidden cove and whisper
girly secrets through her emerald
eyes

Who..
Can feel the dance of a mans soul
through the tips of her fingers..

Who..
Who can face the dawn in
shameless passion and just
let it be..
Let love..be love~

A womans heart

Many a poet have delved into the mysteries
of a womans heart only to drown
in the debths of confusion..
Who is she?
What did you come to see?
She can be a mirror who reflects
your greatest dreams, or your worst
nightmare..
Watch out! Come close at your own risk.
You found her weeping in her garden and
she appeared weak as a new born fawn..
But.. she was merely gathering strength in
the loving rays of the sun which blessed
her heart as the mother of all living..
And her heart is as deep as the ocean
And her mind towers like a cedar.

The diary

I am a fireman at local hall #39 when we recieved a 5 alarm call
for a terrible fire on the south side of town..
A 22 year veteran my crew and I scampered to our
hook and ladder as we had done hundred times before
and we raced to the fire with unflinching resolve..
We arrived to find the old appartment complex nearly
destroyed with only a small chance of making our way
to the second floor of the building where voices were
screaming admist black billowing smoke and we
set to the task of extending our ladder in a desparate
attempt to save those perishing souls..
Our steel ladder found its way threw the hot ash
and thick smoke to the second floor and we snatched
two victums as the walls of the building began
collasping and suddenly a woman emerged from
the smoke filled room clutching a small black
book and as I reached my hand toward her thrust
the small book into my hand and then vanished
back into the fire and smoke..
In the immensity of the flames and hellish heat
we had no choice but to retreat to ground level
watching with regret as the scorching fire took
its toll on the old building..
As the fire hoses pumped water furiously at the
remaining timbers I wiped the ash and smoke
from the lil black book that the woman thrust into
my hand before she perished..
I opended the book and read the the opening words
from the half scorched pages..
The words read:
Dear Paul,
This is the end.
I left you because all meaning
was lost to our lives..
You neclected our daughter and were rarely home
for us..
I set fire to this building and I knew you and
your local firehouse would come to the call..
You wouldn't recognise me after all these years..
I'm sorry.. I'd rather burn than live in the hell of the
the nothingness we had..
Your wife.

What is love?

Some live a life
Of love
They have a foretaste
Of joyous things
To come
And others on their
Death bed realize to
Late that without love
They are undone.

Man

I was born from the dust of
the earth yet I taste the breath
of eternity
Call me what you will, but a God
would call me blessed
I am nothing one might say until
my worth has been assigned by
principalities from beyond this
realm
Yet this revelation is given..I possess
no wisdom to validate my claims
Ramble on and on the wise men
echo for no one has the knowledge
of eternity.. go your own way until
the consumation
But, alas! My own thoughts cause
me to smile
I am lost
I am alone
I am nothing
Without her..

Crossroads

An arrow points in directions
unknown
Perhaps I'm following the seeds
I've sown
The high road or the low road is
a mysterious path ..who can tell
Tis a choice my friend between
heaven or hell..
