Are you normal or crazy?

I’ve read that Open minded, free thinking people are called crazy and ignorant close minded people are normal, judging by some of the bloggers here I would say that they are totally abnormal.

Personally I like people who enjoy my madness and would probably fall in love with someone equally as mad, as long as she appreciates coffee, lets her inner child out but doesn’t have a collection of used plastic bags or likes oven gloves.

How do you classify yourself, mad and open minded or a boring normal person or perhaps a simple person with a very complicated mind?

False Perceptions

After spending more than ½ my life in Africa I went to Britain, Shortly after arriving I attended a job interview with a panel of 4 interviewers.

There was a woman who started off by asking in a very slow patronizing voice if I had been scared of the elevator, I replied that yes I had been but was amazed at the openings in the wall with glass in them; she replied that “I suppose you don’t have windows in your mud houses”.

I have also had people say “but you are white, we thought all Africans were dark skinned” and the popular ”how do you cope with all the wild animals”.

What are your perceptions of Africa, and have you been asked stupid questions about where you live?

Coffee is Love

Since the year 850 when an Ethiopian goat herder discovered the properties of the coffee bush this brew has helped to turn miserable turds into semi-human functional beings.

Coffee is an important part of my life, my coffee bar owner is my Doctor and he administers my daily doses of caffeine from 6:30am 7 days a week. I personally drink 4 or 5 cups a day, and love coffee more than anything....... well I do love women and cigarettes too.

I do have some side effects such as the odd 4 inch long eyebrow hair appearing almost instantly after the second cup, follicle anomalies are just a minor problem, and it is a cheap form of anger management too.

Is coffee important to you and is it part of the culture where you live?

Personal Audit Failure

This morning I received a huge shock, I had decided to carry out an unannounced quality and performance audit on myself.

I paced frantically as I audited myself, after I had finished my self audit I waited anxiously for the results, I failed!

I looked at the list of corrective actions I had given myself and was devastated at how bad I had done.

I know that if I dont complete these corrective actions I will end up being an inferior version of a superior version of myself.

Have you ever carried out an unannounced audit on yourself, and what was your result?

The World in 2050

It’s the year 2050, a few things have happened:-

All wars have ended; all races and religions have ceased hostilities and live in harmony.

Unrest in the USA has led to many former states becoming independent.

The EU ended in 2018, Trade and unemployment are the better than the last 30 years.

Britain has split; Scotland, Wales and Northern Island are now self-ruling countries.

All Fossil fuels have been depleted; solar powered airships carry passengers now.

Cars all run on hydrogen, pollution levels are very low.

Mars has been colonized; Alien support has helped 80 million people who now live in bio-domes. The moon is a penal colony.

North Korea no longer exists after they accidentally nuked themselves in 2017.

The aging gene was identified in 2023; supermarkets now stock tablets that stop aging.

Cancer and other once terminal diseases no longer exist due to advances in medical science.

Animals have the same rights as humans; all meat is grown in laboratories.

What else would you like to have happened by 2050?

Condiments, The heroes and the villains

These days we use condiments all the time, but how many of us stop and think about some of them that have become heroes or Villains?

My Hero is the explorer Mr. Celery Salt, he was the first to discover a lost tribe of Worcester Sauce in the Amazon Jungle.
