My greatest muse

A Morganluv pushed us together
And I didn’t repel him
Myself, delighted, as I typed away
Far, far away, on beaches, in pubs

My loneliness crushed by laughter
Reading and posting, a brat pack
Not ashamed of appearing tens of thousands on his Who’s Viewed

A special Luv pushed us together and I did not repel
Rather, he lifted my wings so that I could fly again

I love you

California is set to make history by banning sales of gas-powered cars by 2035. Can it deliver?

California air regulators are set to vote Thursday on a historic plan that would effectively require all new cars sold within the state to be zero-emission vehicles by 2035 — a ruling that would put the nation’s most populous state in the forefront of phasing out internal combustion engines and the harmful, planet-warming gasses they emit.

If approved, the regulations are expected to significantly reduce vehicle carbon dioxide emissions, as well as smog-forming nitrogen oxides over the next two decades. It could also lead the way in transforming America’s aging fleet of gasoline-powered automobiles.

“The climate crisis is solvable if we focus on the big, bold steps necessary to stem the tide of carbon pollution,” Gov. Gavin Newsom said Wednesday. “California now has a groundbreaking, world-leading plan to achieve 100% zero-emission vehicle sales by 2035. It’s ambitious, it’s innovative, it’s the action we must take if we’re serious about leaving this planet better off for future generations.”

The proposed rules would establish a credit system for automakers supplying California car dealerships and take effect in 2026. In that year, 35% of all new cars an auto manufacturer sells to California dealerships would need to be either zero-emission, plug-in hybrid or hydrogen-powered vehicles. That would increase to 68% in 2030 and 100% by 2035.

For my tourists

I am familiar with the armchair travelers
They sit cozy on their sofa or settled deep in the sheets reading literature or magazines filled with glossy pictures of exotic places

I now know of the armchair lovers who read of feelings and words, romantic, exotic to their daily reality
The glossy photographs are prompted by a series of words, paired and coupled and joined

As if words were limbs, organs and hearts joined
What an amazing thing
In this sterile world that we enter with fingertips better suited for caressing

I greet my travelers, sometimes fatigued from their journey and I try to help my tourists enjoy the scenery
While they are cozy on the sofa or deep in soft sheets

modern visual entertainment

since I have internet back, I like to lose myself in some visual stimulation. I enjoy movies in particular but like a good series if it is limited to a few seasons. the shelf life just isn't worth it to me unless it's particularly riveting. open and shut cases, I suppose. unfortunately, most of the stuff on Netflix are series. this sort of drives me nuts. I don't feel like investing a million hours on a storyline. I like a 2 hour tale that I can watch before or after work. otherwise, I can't sit still through the whole series of episodes without stepping away to do laundry or the bathroom or grab another cup of coffee. for this reason, I don't know how the character Crystal got killed off on the revamp or Dynasty. No, I won't replay the episode...i'll just move on with my life...

She hates

My daughter hates me. I left a Easter message. Last message in January. I'm not a great mom. I'm not a great person. I'm just a person trying to survive.

Parsnips and old lace

He sat in the recliner, pretending to read a magazine
His eyes peering over glossy pages
Watching a feminine figure, dusting

She bent down to polish a leg
His eyes followed, her toes to tail
Her bare behind peering under
Black uniform and old lace

The feminine figure moved to the mirror
While pretending to polish, she watched him watching

Later in the evening, the feminine figure leaned into him and delivered
Her gloved hand to his nether regions
Her breasts, embraced by old lace
