Somebody must have passed out my phone number to a service who is trying to get me to buy an extended warranty. Six calls came through today with the same message:
"We've been trying to reach you about your cars extended warranty... this will be the last call..."
No it won't. I've been getting these calls for years.
Press 1 to be connected to a live operator.
Press 2 to be put on our do not call list.
I'm told if you press 2, they know they've got a real person and use your number for other solicitations.
I'm getting some calls in Spanish and I'm pretty sure it was the service department of the Hispanic owned dealership. They knew when my extended warranty expired and the calls started right after that.
5 year old boy was pulled over in Utah on his way to California to buy a Lamborghini.
I feel like I should write something. . .
I got a portable turntable
Set it up by my crate of vinyl memories
Voices singing, brings the click of a slide show
No digital
The familiar tunes are a lullaby to a racing heart
Parked at a drive in, watching home movies
It took a few months to place a black disk in play
The ghosts of Me past gently haunt
But I’m not so scared anymore
The beach where sticks and stones don’t break hearts
Make love with waves of salt and sea
Bring forth good memories
Of a visit most importantly family
Though far away not distant in heart’s memory
I love you all eternally

now, back to my B movie slasher programming
Speed bumps rate high in my pet peeve list.
Considered a tool to keep you from going past the posted speed limit or risk damage to your cars suspension, some speed bumps are so dangerous they actually force you to make a full stop and (literally) crawl over them.
I work in several gated communities and they are often riddled with speed bumps.
One development has a few that you think you've signed up on their 'organ relocation project' while others have 'speed humps' as gentle reminders which is really what they were designed to do. We need more of those and less of the others.
Once again, it is confirmed
Tears are useless
Unless you get a speck in your eye
The expelling of a salty water only
Streaks skin with makeup
On an already contorted face
If I am to cry, let me Mel Gibson
In Brave Heart
You know the scene
No, really, games, like video. My tennis partner invited me over for a match last week. After, he showed me a video game he was playing. In this game, he can capture creatures like T Rex, sabretooth tigers, dragons, griffins etc.
He texted me to come over. He has 2 Dragon eggs and wants to give one to me. He told me I can hatch it, name it, and watch it grow. I can choose between a water Dragon or a poison dragon. I can't decide which one to pick! This is so exciting!
I found her
Stretched out, as if she was leaping
Her eyes, parted, still sparkled
Her returning glance, stilled by death
In shock, myself, stilled by death
I crouched down and touched her
She felt frozen in time
When I picked her up, she felt heavier than in life
Such a beautiful cat, even after this life
Frozen in time. Leaping into the next world
Her grey paws reaching for the beyond
Deep thoughts from the depths of what I thought I knew
The flashpoint that fractures all reason
Making irrational my temporary reality
Viewing a personality split into two like I’ve got those VR goggles on watching real time twins of a man
