I picked up the phone
Many times tonight
Waiting for your messages
about a life you had before
The ghosts of love waiting at my door
My heart, It feels anticipation
my soul, it aches
apprehensive in mind
As the ghosts of love
Knock once more
The wish
To dream with you
To hold and Release
from a past unjust
To grow old....
As we become the ghosts of love once more

Of all the good places this busy spring
Hiding near the eaves of the old woodshed
The quiet little robin that won’t sing
Builds a nest where my ladder hangs instead
There really is no shortage of trees
Whose outstretched limbs in all directions strewn
Yet with my ladder she does what she pleases
At least a couple months of May and June
Now that small job on the roof to repair
Nor those dead limbs dangling just out of reach
None of these chores I’m waiting to take care
Could persuade me a nest disturb or breach
Sometimes we need to be patient and wait
And delight as much in nature so great

About this poem:
A fresh spring 'sonnet' about a brave little robin building her nest on my hanging ladder and taking away some of my busy chores; while I just sit back and enjoy watching a little nature outdoors.

Entwined we stared upon the starry night,
White spiderwebs adorned the woods like lace,
The cold moon wore a garland of pale light,
That cast gold radiance around your face.
But new love's bloom can slowly turn to grey,
And promise drips like candle grease it seems.
When our eyes met, I should have turned away,
Cruel passing time did not respect our dreams.
Oh reader fond, do not misunderstand,
These remnants of past love hold no disdain,
Love stories are not always built on sand,
And broken hearts won't always harbour pain.
Much better to have loved and let it go,
Than never to have felt your heart aglow.

My favourite poem
by John Donne
I WONDER by my troth, what thou and I
Did, till we loved ? were we not wean'd till then ?
But suck'd on country pleasures, childishly ?
Or snorted we in the Seven Sleepers' den ?
'Twas so ; but this, all pleasures fancies be ;
If ever any beauty I did see,
Which I desired, and got, 'twas but a dream of thee.
And now good-morrow to our waking souls,
Which watch not one another out of fear ;
For love all love of other sights controls,
And makes one little room an everywhere.
Let sea-discoverers to new worlds have gone ;
Let maps to other, worlds on worlds have shown ;
Let us possess one world ; each hath one, and is one.
My face in thine eye, thine in mine appears,
And true plain hearts do in the faces rest ;
Where can we find two better hemispheres
Without sharp north, without declining west ?
Whatever dies, was not mix'd equally ;
If our two loves be one, or thou and I
Love so alike that none can slacken, none can die.

Woman, rise up and assert your power
For generations you have been suppressed
Let the world know this is your hour
There are certain issues to be addressed
In dealing with areas of dispute
You tend to be much more tolerant
Making you more likely to find the truth
And well suited for management
You have shown in the field of education
Regardless of the area of learning
You can hold your own against men
Yet workplace equality is lacking
Woman, rise up and assert your power
For generations you have been suppressed

On our life's path so oft' we'll find a bend,
When daylight pales a cloudy sombre hue,
Such darkness will seem brighter with a friend,
My hope instilled, for I am blessed with two.
Good friends are scarce, as rare as precious jewels,
Who don't intrude and yet are never far,
To discard friendship is a trait of fools,
How bleak the nightsky bearing just one star.
When Angels beckon one I hope it's me,
No joy in being bereft to grieve alone,
For now we'll live and laugh as comrades three,
Our names not etched as yet on marble stone.
So in salute I raise a glass of wine,
And toast 'Good Health' for two good friends of mine.

(Sonnet.)

I wait for you within Love’s bright sunset,
within your eyes i am lost in Love’s dream,
now we do wait for the coming starlight
travelling to heaven on a moonbeam,
Smile when you see me in Love’s bright sunset,
run into my arms i do feel your grace,
this is the moment love stirs within me,
the moment i see your beautiful face.
I drown in the eyes of Aphrodite,
together we swim within your bright soul,
gently together on love’s horizon,
we walk in sunset towards our Love’s goal.
Come let us join, let us never forget,
the moment divine, by love’s bright sunset.

If we were stars in cosmogyral space,
Lost apart in nacreous endless blue,
To seek, I would like gossamer embrace,
Upon a moonbeam, destination....you.
In reminiscence of your twinkling light,
I'd fall for your aeolian warm rays,
Our fusion to ignite the lonesome night,
As showers of stardust calm our fiery blaze.
Together we could disappear through time,
To float in ataraxial deep love,
Like poets entwined in pure celestial rhyme,
In Heavens reverence 'mid stars above.
Drifting through soft moonlight psiturism,
Forever lost in dazzling starry prism.

Light from the darkest star shining on me
Travelling from blackest regions of space
Caught like the deepest creature in the sea
Wriggles in your net humble, needing grace
No longer hidden as I twist and turn
Shimmering light on my defenseless core
Trapped hopeless in the point of no return
Brings to surface what I try to ignore
There's no escaping great moments of truth
Twisting and turning my head in disgrace
Swimming in lies is really quite uncouth
When dimmest star light still shines on my face
Close to creation is found in the heart
Good love always sustains from the start
