My private cell site...

I was a Sprint customer for many years and when I started working for a company that had a metal roof on their building, my phone reception (inside the building) became non-existent. Some of my coworkers were Sprint customers and would stand outside to make calls. This was before phones could switch to Wi-Fi calling.
I purchased a signal booster that had 2 antennas, one outside for picking up the nearest tower signal and the other inside that relayed the phone signal. It worked pretty good for about 50 feet from the antenna. When I switched to T-Mobile, I didn't require the signal booster and gave it to a friend who was having the same trouble in the building he worked at.

Now, I'm at a place with the same problem. All the bars lit outside and inside I often had a 'no signal' error message. Switching to Wi-Fi calling wasn't reliable as I missed lots of calls and text messages weren't outgoing. They would snag and I often had to reboot the phone to get things to work again. Several calls to customer service only had technicians remotely checking my phone telling me to change the settings and make Wi-Fi the main method of communication and not cell service. One tech walked me through the settings to be sure everything was good. Rebooting the phone and trying that for a few days didn't work well. that was enough to call them and complain.

I was lucky to get someone who knew of a low power cell site device that connected directly to the network where I'm located (and not an antenna style booster) so they sent me one and I connected it. Instructions said it could be a few hours before the device would download updates and register with the T-Mobile service. Later that night, I received a text message the unit was online. When I got to the office the next day, I had 'full bars' without having to switch to Wi-Fi.

The new mini-cell site works great and 2 of my coworkers who are also T-Mobile customers are also benefiting from this device. It's just sitting on the corner of my desk right now, but I'll mount it on a wall up high for maximum coverage.

My private cell site... thumbs up

I suppose it depends on who you ask.

Financial Wizaed...

Yes, I know I misspelled wizard. I'm off to run some errands this morning but caught a story about Trump and his 6 bankruptcies and how there were similarities in each. We could be watching his 7th in the making right now.
The presidential election is 3 weeks away and I'm seeing lots of political ads, many are back-to-back trying to persuade people to vote (or not vote) a certain way. While I'm not the person who likes to see false/decpetive advertising... as many of the ads are doing. If it were me, I'd run ads on fact. Trump is on the edge of financial disaster. Millions in loans due and no means to pay them off. That would be the strongest case (in my opinion) that the wrong person is 'running the ship' unless you want to say he's ruining the ship and that would make him a Financial Wizaed...

Getting a RIZE out of this video...

Asian countries have employed model aircraft for spraying pesticides for more than a decade. This is old technology by today's standards where the pilot has to operate the controls directly. The newer machines have GPS and the operator can program the path the helicopter (or drone) will follow as well as the altitude. It becomes 'hands off' and fully automated.
Either way... you might get a Rize out of this video too!

While the pilot/operator had a safety helmet on, he was lacking in no filter mask... something I think is essential when spraying any (fertilizer, pesticide) chemicals over a large area.

Signs of voting fraud...

It's hard to admit it, but Trump was right. We're already seeing signs of voting fraud.
In the news today, California's attorney general and chief elections officer sent a cease-and-desist letter to Republican Party officials demanding that they immediately stop using private ballot collection containers marked as official drop boxes. The containers that have appeared in several communities across the state are illegal.

I'd be willing to bet Trump didn't think the illegal activity would be coming from the GOP.

1964 was a good year for Margaret Nolan...

British actress Margaret Nolan was the gold painted woman in the 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger. She also appeared in the 1964 Beatles film “A Hard Day’s Night.”

Along the way, her career landed many other movie parts.

Unfortunately, 2020 wasn't a good year for Margaret.
She died on Sunday at the age of 76.
The cause of death has not been revealed.

I ponder...

I often ponder about different things. For example, some comments on one current blog about wearing masks and someone had to mention left radicals as though there isn't/aren't other types of radicals.
I ponder... are there moderate radicals?
Could they be cousin to right radicals?

Fauci's been quiet over Trump catching COVID-19.
Some think the whole thing is/was a ploy to down-play the seriousness of this virus.
No public word on the first lady and her condition. Hmmm...
Chris Christie gets COVID-19... obese, asthma, high cholesterol, possibly diabetic stays in the hospital only 4 days. His treatment and medical condition is off the radar, I ponder about the truth here.

I ponder why the truth is being covered up.

The media wants to know Trumps last positive test for COVID-19 and somehow his administration is unable to pinpoint (or doesn't want to pinpoint) when that was.

Should this upcoming election be neck-and-neck, how long will the legal battle be to determine a winner? This I ponder.

I'm going with the thought that if there is a landslide in favor of Biden, is there a possibility of Trump supporting militia units to surrounding the White house? That's a tough one to ponder. Would they be carrying AK-47's ? Another thing to ponder.

The question came up as to why toast has a higher amount of calories by weight than the bread it came from. I pondered and believe once the water content was gone toast was lighter.
If you performed the same test using 2 slices of bread versus 2 slices of toast (of the same loaf) the difference would be negligible.

Blister Pack...

Blister pack is a type packaging used for pharmaceuticals and foods. A preformed plastic 'tray' with indentations (blisters) holds each dose of medicine. Attached to the plastic is usually foil coated paper that seals the contents. The user has to bend the plastic at the corner lifting the foil to expose the contents. In theory, it's pretty simple. In realty, it can bring on an episode of Tourette syndrome.

I picked up my 90 day refill of hypertension medicine and the package was much larger than expected. I questioned if they had the right medicine and the pharmacy technician apologized. They were out of bottled stock at the distributor and only blister packs were being shipped.

As expected, the blister package I received doesn't break open at the corners as instructed. I have to cut it open with a razor knife!

very mad

I'll probably open a bunch and repackage them into a bottle so I don't have to waste time fumbling with a knife and a blister pack each day.

No reason to wear a mask...

It appears there's no reason to wear a mask at the White House as everyone working there has COVID-19 and under quarantine.
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and 2 of her deputies are on the list!

My suggestion... If you plan to have a tour of the White House on Columbus Day, it would be a good idea to postpone that trip!

Landslide...

I know of two Trump supporters who have stated the reelection of Donald Trump will be a landslide victory for the president. I also know of eight Biden supporters who predict a landslide of Joe's victory. That makes it 4 to 1. Some polls predict Biden will take Florida and some say that's not possible as Florida is a red state and the current home of Donald Trump.
Okay... so say ye!
This morning I see a story telling some stats that several 55 and over communities are steering toward Biden. They are alarmed and put off by Trump's performances in daily task force briefings and uneven handling of the coronavirus.

"The president’s own COVID-19 infection has refocused attention on the virus and his handling of it. If the 74-year-old Trump can’t safeguard his own health, some wonder, how can he be trusted to protect other older adults who are far more vulnerable?"

We're about 3 weeks away from the election. Most of the people I know have already cast their vote by mail-in ballots. One friend said he and his wife will go to early voting in a business area during the middle of the week (after lunch crowd) before 4pm to assure minimum amount of voters in line. He wants no chances of delays in the mail or relying on the ballot box.

Spartacus Hubcaps...

I was a kid when the movie Ben-Hur came to theaters. 1959 to be exact. One scene was the Chariot Race and if you were like me... you were hanging on the EDGE OF YOUR SEAT!!
The scary part was Messala, the bad guy who had a chariot equipped with a sharp pointy wheel axle that would break the spokes of the chariot driven by Judah Ben-Hur (actor Charlton Heston) and her was nearly victorious, but Ben-Hur out maneuvered Messala and won the race.
Note: I knew Messala was the bad guy because he had a team of black horses!

Anyway a few thousand years later, we've got our own chariot drivers with sharp pointy wheel hubcaps. I refer to them as Spartacus hubcaps. Judge for yourself...
