Patricia Lefranc: Acid attack victim arrives to testify against married lover.

Incredible bravery of acid attack victim as she arrives to testify against married lover who scalded her when she dumped him.

He said: 'I moved with my wife and children to the building on Avenue Sippelberg in 2006. Patricia was already living there. She was a janitor. At first we just said hello, that's all.

Remes has apologised for the attack, denying that he meant to maim her. His defence is that he did not realise the sulphuric acid he sprayed would have such a devastating effect.

Remes told the court how he started his relationship with Lefranc, who was the janitor of their block of flats, in 2009.

Remes, 57, is said to have planned the sulphuric acid attack after Ms Lefranc ended their relationship.

Patricia Lefranc, 48, left disfigured after sulphuric acid attack.

The 48-year-old, who underwent 86 operations following the attack, added: 'I hope to convince the court that he did indeed want to murder me.'

The green mile......

The Green Mile is a story told in "flashback" by an elderly Paul Edgecomb in a nursing home. He tells a friend about the summer of 1935 when he was a prison guard in charge of death row inmates. His domain was called "The Green Mile" because the linoleum floor was green. The star of the cellblock was "Old Sparky", the electric chair, sitting peacefully, waiting for his next victim.

One day, a new inmate arrives. He is seven-foot-tall John Coffey, a black man convicted of raping and killing two young white girls. Coffey immediately shows himself to be a "gentle giant", keeping to himself and being moved to tears on occasion. Soon enough, Coffey reveals his extraordinary healing powers by healing Paul Edgecomb's urinary infection and bringing a mouse back from the dead.

At the same time, Percy Wetmore, a vicious, sadistic guard who takes pleasure in intimidating and injuring inmates, exasperates everyone else in the cellblock. However, he "knows people in high places," preventing Paul or anybody else from doing anything significant to curb his deviant behavior. What Percy wants is to be put "up front" for (i.e., in charge of) an execution; then, he promises, he will transfer himself to another government job and Paul will never hear from him again.

I believe that Jesus is The Master of the craft. We had religion and spirituality all wrong, so God came to visit us in the form of a human being to set the record straight. He revealed the true Nature and Spirit of God to us.

Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for all of mankind. He died in our place so that we would not have to die on the spot for our sins. Jesus also taught the positive way of God so that we could live it right. After the death of Jesus, God raised him from the dead, give him eternal life and all the power without measure. He is now our mediator between God and mankind.

Following Christ is going to cost you everything. You don't need to give him 90% or 99% of your life but 100%, He's everything or He's nothing. You find that path by studying His word,and gain understanding through the help of the Holy Spirit and apply it to your life. It won't be easy, as you'd have to give up some things in life. But it's worth it considering your reward in heaven.

The narrow path is when you don't listen to your heart but to what scripture says....

I hope we can spread the gospel of Jesus Christ at any opportunity.

I Spit on Your Grave
2010 ?/ Horror/Thriller.

Makes me think how easily the human mind can be manipulated, from the girl's perspective the revenge and killing is of course justified. Humans worked a long way to reach the point where a relatively fair court in a society is competently run, isn't the life long curse of rapist and years of jail time more of a punishment than a pain that lasted only minutes to these men?

The instant satisfaction is the beast inside that our reasons honed throughout the millenniums learning to overcome, and the foundation of our civilized world, by simply letting it out one might be able to argue that the girl is then not too much different from the beasts the men in the movie were, or more precisely the character Mathew, who was basically manipulated, made or forced (lured to become the beast he initially wasn't) to commit the crime our protagonist killed in cold blood for revenge.

In a way, isn't the satisfaction most people found in this movie the kind of lure to our inner beasts that our reasons are trying so hard to fight against, in a way similar to the evils the men in the movie are, which our sense of justice and civility despises?
