They live.......

....

.......
. Another from John Carpenter; this political satire portrays a world where special sunglasses reveal that the elite, ruling, wealthy class are really aliens manipulating the rest of society.

It looks fine. The sunglasses world is particularly startling. Good music but slightly disappointing sound overall. The underpinning story of underclass values destroying middle and lower class life was fascinating although I think that the target audience possibly missed that. Biggest issues for me were the main guy being a terrible actor and the alleyway fight scene looking like god-awful wrestle mania. Not very scary but certainly very interesting and relevant...

Nada (Roddy Piper), a wanderer without meaning in his life, discovers a pair of sunglasses capable of showing the world the way it truly is. As he walks the streets of Los Angeles, Nada notices that both the media and the government are comprised of subliminal messages meant to keep the population subdued, and that most of the social elite are skull-faced aliens bent on world domination. With this shocking discovery, Nada fights to free humanity from the mind-controlling aliens.
Release date: 4 November 1988 (USA)
Director: John Carpenter
Starring: Roddy Piper; Keith David; Meg Foster
Adapted from: Eight O’Clock in the Morning
Budget: $3 million
Distributed by: Universal Pictures, Carolco Pictures.

at the end....
Nada kills Holly and destroys the transmitter, and is fatally wounded by aliens in a helicopter. Nada gives the aliens the middle finger as he dies. With the transmitter destroyed, humans all over the world discover the aliens hiding among them.

big window .....

He who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god.
Aristotle..... human kind cannot bear very much reality, but,
it is THE best...
One can have hundreds of online friends and
Facebook friends, while in real life have barely a person to talk to....
more than often, does not produce any real meaningful communication. In short, we just need to ponder whether it is worthwhile for us spending Too much time and energy building large online networks of superficial connections, at the expense of maintaining a few cherished reliable real-life friendships
A second false perception is the feeling of intimacy and closeness conveyed though cyber interactions....
We couldn’t really rely on cyber connections to introduce us to a new career or to get a raise out from the online interactions. Thus people’s belief in the benefit of keeping cyber connections is somewhat false, or at least doubtable...
there is definitely a set standard for discipline,...
the conveniences of connecting through the internet have generated the consequences of expecting too much and committing too little.
Not only are Internet chat room relationships leading to impersonal contact of people hiding flaws behind anonymity, also danger in it..
though social networks can be useful; they can also be damaging to an individual’s career, personal life, and affect many other aspects of their lives....so, it is better continue to use social media to maintain offline relationships because it’s easy, convenient, and beneficial.
cool

follow me if you can.......

Make it a habit to try to place yourself in the shoes of another person. Any person. Loved ones, co-workers, people you meet on the street. Really try to understand, to the extent that you can, what it is like to be them, what they are going through, and why they do what they do.

empathy is compulsory for being good and feeling good to oneself....
It’s usually safe to be friendly towards others. do not forget ....
be friendly within the bounds of appropriateness.
compassion is the best to be happy for yourself also to others.

listen to another person..... just wait your turn to talk. It’ll also go a long way to helping you understand others.
i think.....We all have our prejudices, whether it’s based on skin color, attractiveness, height, age, gender … it’s human nature, But try to see each person as an individual human being, with different backgrounds and needs and dreams.

Avoid negative people.....Don’t spend too much of your time around them if you feel they drag you down.

All of us have fears. Fear of uncertainty, fear of public speaking, fear of risk… All our fears keep us in the same position and prevent us from growing. Recognize that your fears reflect areas where you can grow. I always think of fears as the compass for growth. If I have a fear about something, it represents something I’ve yet to address, and addressing it helps me to grow.

learn to interact with others in a positive way.freedom and autonomy and trust, Give that to others as you have it.....
turn the other cheek........a golden advice but difficult to follow..
you have to assert your rights, of course, but you can do so in a way where you still treat others well.....after all who likes to be a doormat?

Limitless

The story follows a writer who takes an experimental drug that increases mental ability, allowing him to become a high-powered business broker, but his success comes at a price

There are also some visual tricks to show the drug's effects that just end up being confusing. Still, the film does a pretty good job at presenting an intriguing mystery and at building suspense. Limitless doesn't quite deliver on its promise, but it's entertaining and has some good action.

A man takes an experimental pill that enhances his natural abilities and makes him super efficient - at cleaning his apartment, at writing the next great American novel, at remembering pointless trivia to impress saucy co-eds, and at day trading with ferocious international businessmen. Naturally. The pacing is hip and bracing, and the introduction of the side effects....
not that effective.... but.. okay.

John Pennycuick, a British engineer....

Tamil Nadu govt to install statue of British officer in UK
Tamil Nadu CM announced that a statue of Colonel John Pennycuick, a British engineer who built the Mullaperiyar dam, will be installed in his hometown in the UK.

The Tamil Nadu government will install a statue of Colonel John Pennycuick in the United Kingdom, said Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday.

MK Stalin announced that permission was obtained from the local authorities in Pennycuick's hometown, Camberly, to install Colonel John Pennycuick's statue.

Colonel John Pennycuick was a British engineer who built the Mullaperiyar dam in 1895 in Kerala's Idukki which provides water to Theni, Dindigul, Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai and Madurai districts. The dam is currently operated by the Tamil Nadu government.

Pennycuick is highly respected by the people of the five districts in Tamil Nadu and is even worshipped by many.

Many claimed that when the British government decided to abandon the project due to high cost, the Colonel spent money from his own pocket to complete the project.

In Theni district, Pennycuick's birthday -- which is on January 15 -- is celebrated along with Pongal....

Mahavira..... history of jainism....

Mahavira was born a little before the Buddha. While the Buddha was the founder of Buddhism, Mahavira did not found Jainism. He is the 24th great teacher (Tirthankar) in the Jain tradition that was founded in the present era by Rishabh or Adinath, thousands of years before Mahavira.

Mahavira also known as Vardhamana, was the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism. He was the spiritual successor of the 23rd Tirthankara Parshvanatha. Mahavira was born in the early part of the 6th century BCE into a royal Kshatriya family in ancient India. His mother's name was Trishala and his father's name was Siddhartha. Wikipedia
Born: Vaishali
Died: Pavapuri
Full name: Vardhamana
Symbol: Lion
Parents: Trishla, Siddharth
Children: Priyadarshana
Siblings: Nandivardhana.

Lord Mahavir was the twenty-fourth and the last Tirthankara of the Jain religion. According to Jain philosophy, all Tirthankaras were born as human beings but they have attained a state of perfection or enlightenment through meditation and self realization. They are the Gods of Jains.

Who is the main God of Jainism?
Some writers regard the jinas as 'gods' because the jinas are venerated by Jains in the way that other faiths worship gods or God. Jains venerate them because they have achieved perfection, and have become liberated from the cycle of birth and death.

Rishabhanatha
Origins. The origins of Jainism are obscure. The Jains claim their religion to be eternal, and consider Rishabhanatha the founder in the present time-cycle, who lived for 8,400,000 purva years.

Do not injure, abuse, oppress, enslave, insult, torment, torture, or kill any creature or living being.

NPD..... personality disorders...

Narcissistic personality disorder — one of several types of personality disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others.

Many of the words to describe mental health issues are inaccurate and frequently confused with other terms.

This blog going to be very
long seriel one.. ....

cheers

npd...
Personality disorder, as per its actual name.

Computers have learned how to beat any human at Chess; why couldn’t a clever narc learn how to better condition him/herself?

NPD is a *character disorder* so right out of the starting gate, they have a disability. To me a cure means it's gone. No longer a problem. If one has to constantly monitor one's reactions, it's still a problem, and there's still potential to do harm. A cure would mean that potential is gone.

A person who has NPD, but then intellectually responds to an understanding of how their behavior hurts people and then for the rest of their lives, quits that hurtful behavior, can be called “cured.”

medical world...
They don't believe NPD responds to treatment, let alone can be cured.

The Most Famous Serial Killers In America And Their Twisted Crimes
The trial of Ted Bundy was the first time in history that a trial was completely televised.
The killings of Ed Gein served as inspiration for the movies Psycho and Silence of the Lambs.
Albert Fish sent a letter to the mother of one of his victims, describing exactly how he killed her.

American
history

is filled with many wondrous achievements and amazing people that left their mark on the country, and also the entire world. However, there are two sides two every coin, and some of the most gruesome crimes ever committed have happened in the United States.

The FBI coined the term serial killer during the 1970s, because of all the killings that were happening across the country. Some of the most known serial killers in the world have performed heinous acts all over the country, and this article will present the ones that were considered the most famous.

7. Ted Bundy

Let us start things off with a name most of you have heard numerous times. Ted Bundy was not what you would consider that a serial killer might look like. He was well educated, handsome, and described by many as incredibly charming. This made his brutal killings even more surprising.

Bundy was raised in a weird family, without a father, and believed his whole life that his grandmother was, in fact, his mother and that his mother was his sister. His childhood and adolescence were challenging, but he managed to graduate from the University of Washington, after which his murderous spree began. His victims were mostly attractive female students, and his first murder was committed in Seattle in 1966.

He killed several more women throughout the next few years and was eventually arrested. However, it doesn’t stop there. He managed to escape police custody twice, moved to Florida and continued killing there. He killed several members of a sorority there, and his final crime is especially gruesome - he raped and murdered a 12-year old girl. He was finally arrested for good and became a media sensation because his trial was fully televised, the first time in history that has happened. He was sentenced to death and executed in 1989.
