Sports

I have an answer in my mind. I will ask a question and see if any would answer the same.
The question is : Why do we lose weight when exercise provided we maintain the same diet

doh because we burn energy when exercising peace

Exred I would say that we gain energy from the force we exert. After we relax our body starts to cool which means we start losing energy because heat is one form of energy. This cooling down is what makes one lose weight. This is just my theory. Maybe a blogger will convince me other wise.
Your body uses up calories every day.

If you take in less calories through food then your body needs, you will loose weight.

If you do sports, your body uses up calories through the effort. You are using more calories with sport than without sport and this is why people loose weight even if they put in the same amount of calories through food.
@Moelle, if our skin have no pores, nose, then our kidneys would be overworked and it won't be long before we get sick and die. Back to your question, I'm one with @Kne. Our body is like a car. When it is moving, it heats up and uses up gasoline/diesel. When the car stops, the engine cools down. It goes to show that movement is the name of the game. Just like during winter, no matter how small meal I eat if I just sit down and relax the whole day, I'd gain weight in no time and would feel cold the whole time. But if I keep moving around the house by doing chores or exercising I'd slim down and would feel a bit warmer.
after exercise the body keeps burning at faster rate hence weight loss., I await you disproving of THAT notion too rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
@tatami. Great example tatmi. The one of the car and thank you of reminding me of the word pores. It slipped my mind.handshake
