Religion

What was the first known religion in history were people from other religions could convert to it. Knowing that many religions do not accept converts.
It would be interesting to know what was the destiny of the people who left that religion.

From my understanding, paganism. And from my observation, there are religions which ostracized those who leave. and for this, I regard highly the Catholics. Catholics do not force one to give a fix amount as tights, do not force anyone to attend mass and is not discriminating as to who shld enter their churches and schools. They bless the dead even if he's not a believer. Although I've heard about someone must be baptized first before getting a blessing upon death. This last one I think is just peculiar to certain areas and not the norm.
