I wouldn't let anyone else get away with that on my blog, MiMi. You can twist me round your little finger. sigh
"What was it exactly that WE did to deserve it"?

He didn't give it to you Hoobie or any one person in particular.

It's a choice. Some like rap, some like opera, some like rock n roll and then there are those who relate to the stories in country music.

The good thing is......You Hoober don't have to listen to it.

Isn't that cool dancing dancing A way to choose what kind of music you want to listen to. yay
Hoob, you've opened a can of country worms mumbling
I'll overlook your putting that video on my blog, gonelikethewimd, because you did it for MiMi, but please don't let it happen again. scold
I will concede, vier, that the standard of musicianship is often very high, but I can't help thinking it's wasted on country music.
Hoober,

giggle
He might not have given it to me, secretagent, but he didn't do anything to prevent me from inadvertently hearing it occasionally. Anyone who hears country music will go to Hell, and you don't even get a chance to repent.
Yes, it looks like it, molly, and that was the very last thing I wanted to do. grin
I'm a lonely CS cowboy
My gal she did go
Into the arms of a handsome rancher
Who is now her forever beau

I've looked high, I've looked low
Everywhere the wind does blow
Looking for a sweet maiden
But on CS, my hopes they are a-fading

She said it wasn't me, that's how it goes
She just couldn't take any more afternoons
With the smell of unwashed clothes
And nasal country tunes

I've looked high, I've looked low
Everywhere the wind does blow
Looking for a sweet maiden
But on CS, my hopes they are a-fading

Now there's nothing for it but
Find that crossroads where I once did strut
Ask the devil to regain my soul
So I can leave this horrid music behind
And finally find that CS maiden and get my ....

I've looked high, I've looked low

That was just one of the worms you allowed to escape from that can moping
Do you know where the lid is, Molly?
Try the fridge, Hoob.

That's often where we absentmindedly put the things we have mislaid
I keep a very orderly fridge, molly, inside and out.
roll eyes I know :rolleyes;

You should write An Ode to my Shiny Fridge
I think you are intimidated by my fridge, Molly. drinking
I think I may be hole
Jim, that song's already been written.

It's called Mambo No. 5

"Anyone who hears country music will go to Hell"

With a statement like that now I know why you didn't stick to the handshake we made.

I bet even Stringman wouldn't say that.

No, Jim, I don't like rap, either. beer
Molly - Those were real lines, that unbelievably were successfully used by me while in college in Kansas. laugh I'm telling you, it was easier than shooting fish in a bucket.
I don't mind some rap.
Some is well-written poetry.
I love Dolly Parton's Johlene smoking
It was only one backslide, secretagent, I've stuck to the agreement since then, even when the little twerp commented on my blog. I will reaffirm out arrangement. handshake
Jim, I've never shot fish in a bucket, but I take your word for it laugh
Strangely enough, Multi, I don't mind Dolly Parton. dunno
Strangely enough, Hoober, many men like Dolly Parton she does have some outstanding attributes
I bet if you only ever saw her from the back, you'd feel differently roll eyes
Molly, you'd want to walk round front if only for the dimples.

I chose this one because it isn't country don't want to upset people and people do get upset very very easily in these stressful times

I have seen that film, Multi. I think there's a musical of it going around the theatres at the moment.

I like Dolly. Not her singing per se. But her.
