What's Your Favorite Music Video?

Music videos have been around for some time now, however, really started making a visual statement (as art) in their own right (apart from the song); probably in the late 1980's. This was when "basic" special effects (generated by computers) came along.

Back then, (if you lived in Australia) you had to watch a show called "Countdown" (top of the pops format -on TV) to see your favorite musicians perform. In Australia, The ABC television station has a music video all night (weekends) TV show called "Rage" . In America it is MTV (or it was in the late eighties). Nowadays; of course, we have most music videos on youtube.

Anyway, you get the idea.

Blog open for each person to post their favorite music video/s.

(please post a maximum of 1 per comment). Comments are sought for each music video - Why do you like it? What makes it special?

To kick things off, I'll post a few of my favs. (there's really too many, to choose from)...

Love music threads yay

I loved Thunderbirds when I was a kid and so did my kids. I was easily amused. I now love this video and the music.......

This is a fun body warm up workout as well
Thanks for the comments, and music clips. Yeah, some really good videos, so far.
Here's another genius mashup......

Another one of my favourites......

This a cool one. I was a Dead Head back in the 70s. Most of the CSers can relate to this song.
And yet another classic, (and oh, so very, very true)......

btw, thanks, yule for yr clip....

Interestingly, the Mazzy Star song, has the chords (A, E, Bm) repeated throughout; whilst the Chris Isaak song, has the chords (Bm, A, E) repeated throughout. These chord progression/s, both have a slightly skewed tonal center, (giving an ethereal feel to these progression/s)....
Mercedes. I love to watch that video. It was well put together. I love the song but also love watching the girls dancing. I couldn't do that now. I'm getting older and still trying to work my new hip in but with all the walking I have to do now with our lock down is helping me lots bouquet
@ Soon. Sang this song many times on an online karaoke site and in bars. Brilliant video and song. Love the skeletons ...............thumbs up
MissCell....thanks for your clip. Another classic here....

Here's a very powerful song, about Aboriginal Land Rights, in Australia.....

the gorgeous lady on the beach smitten
Thanks, Lee, I posted that one, I'll just post the url, for the song, (to give the element of surprise).....
Then, there's this rendition, of a beautiful jazz standard......

I still "swoon" for Brian May. I still love a guy with long hair rolling on the floor laughing

Thanks miscell....
Thanks, for the vids (so far), all...

Here's another favourite......

An absolute classic, from PF (they are immortal, for a reason).....

Fatboy Slim aka "Norman Cook" was brilliant with mixes. It was/is his profession. I downloaded many of his mixes when Napster/Bearshare was the "in" thing a few years ago. Not all on Youtube unfortunately but I found this one...........cheering

(for something a bit different)...
Good on you Miss, I was actually going to post that one!

A brilliant song, in my opinion.....
Have to sigh off now, will be back, I'll leave you with this: RHCP.....

typo..."sign" off now.....
This song always reminds me of my 1st trip to America to see my "friend" a long trip. Flying from Spain to England then onto America. I was bloody knackered but I got over it in a couple of days...Been there 8 times since then and loved it. Not in a City, the country side which reminded me of home in England....

Live 8 2005
This video is the last concert the original members of Pink Floyd performed together.

I could play this every day and not get tired of listening to it!
