IS THERE AN AFTERLIFE?

Is this it? Did we spend our lives taking in knowledge as a child, growing up and experiencing encounters with different people and situations. Making mistakes and wrong decisions. Some of us having romantic relations to the point of marriage. Creating children. Watching and helping them develope into adults themselves. Then we may look back and think that if only we knew then what we know now. Perhaps, and most likely then, life could have been so different.
It seems so ridiculous that when you reach a point in life when you can reflect on the decisions you made and what you have now learned, that it can end and your life experiences mean nothing, and no longer valuable. You become just dust blowing in the wind.
OR IS THAT NOT THE CASE?

Is being sinful breaking the commandments or not breaking the commandments but having thoughts of deeds you wish to carry out but wouldn't because they would be against the law of the land?
dunno
When a star becomes a supernova, and eventually explodes, all the particles thrown out into the universe consist of the elements required to promote life. So death of the star is not the end, in fact it benefits us all in providing these materials from which we are all made.
In Peru on 26 April at woman's funeral. The carrier's of coffin heard banging on the lid. Woman inside was still alive. She had been pronounced dead.
uh oh
Then what happened Crown?
@Ninurta, while I know what my value is, it certainly doesn't matter to me what others think of me, as long as they're not lying to me and neither do they harm me. I don't go out of my way hurting or harming others, I certainly don't give a darn concern. My poems are all kept in my own files. My blogs here aren't for me to get recognized. I intertwine with the substance of what I learn about. I don't care if tomorrow it gets shut down. I wish it wouldn't because I do have fun being on here. It's free and I have a mental exercise. BTW, I have pages and pages of mail that I delete and don't bother opening them.

Value? Nah, I don't seek my worth anywhere for I know who I am.
LJ........I value your blogs. I understand why people blog. It is a great way of finding out the views of people across the world. How else would you achieve that and gain more knowledge of things maybe previously you would not be aware of. It can point you in the direction of literature of authors you weren't aware of and new theories about people, their origins and how they lived and what they created. It also exercises the brain and makes you think.
It also introduces you to people who you can call friends.

One reason that we study, learn, acquire knowledge is I suppose to benefit ourselves, the planet and help other people during our life span. When we depart from this world, then maybe we have benefitted the human race that will continue to make a constant improvement. But it seems a waste of an individual and the development of their brain that there should be an abrupt ending. Experience gained to be lost forever it would seem.
Most people say they believe in a religion so that just in case it's true and there is an afterlife, they won't miss out on a technicality. But they spend their life doing bad deeds and being hypocritical, and forget that if their religion is true, they should take heed and live a life worthy of tolerance and sacrifice.
Dust at the best. Nobody came back from dead yet.
If the dead came back and made an appearance, then it would give the game away. Everyone would suddenly start worshipping for the wrong reasons and not down to lifestyle and faith, but for reward.
If you are the result of bad or good upbringing, at some point you should be able to recognise the correct path in life and the possibilities that are open to you if you make the right choices. Your conscience should help guide you and if you spend your life feeling guilt, then maybe if you have any intelligence you should realise you are making the wrong decisions. Those who use their brain and think and not be brainwashed by others, are those who are the champions in this life.
Respected Crown. handshake
In this World everything has opposite to it.
Like day and night. Like Sun and moon.
Like man and woman. Like summer and winter.
Like good deeds and bad deeds. Like good and bad. Justice and unfair.
So on so forth.
We are born like a child and day by day we grow at last we reach our old age.
So for everything there is answer.
After death we will be again get up on Doomsday.
We will answerable for the life we spent before GOD.
Finally we will go to Paradise or Hell.

I respect everyone's opinion including yours. If you have thought things out as anyone should who possesses a human brain, and come to your conclusions on life, then that's as much as a person can do. If you are wrong, then you will never know, but if right then you have not wasted your thoughts on life, and maybe rewarded with your hopes turning to reality.
When people enter this world, their chances of greater success and happiness depend on how they look, their physical appearance, what type of parents they have, their mental ability, personality, where they live, and financial standing. If you're not fortunate in those areas, then life is a challenge. Across the world people struggle with famine, war, disease. For those people, where is the equality in life? We are not born equal.
No I think you are placed when you can learn the lessons you need to, the challenges given to us are there so we can discover that they don't definitely us, and sometimes this is the most powerful tool to help another.
Look at a lot of people who are born into wealth and beauty, are they really happy?
No matter what life gives you to live with it is given to teach and help even one other person to learn.

Hug trees, squish your toes in mud, breathe in nature and this magic that is Life,.
And alway make someone smile, feed one person, hug one person and the World would be great.hug
I'm sorry about your early experiences in life, but you appear to have got through it by dedication and strength of purpose. Most people have endured heartache in some way and those that haven't are lucky or have yet to find themselves in such situation. Those that have, know the pit of despair that the mind can be subjected to and can appreciate others who are at that point in their life.
