Logging in with your Gmail account...
More and more websites are asking me to log in using my Gmail account to view their site. It's like a bad dream and Google wants to know my every move (like they don't already know) or website research. I check the phone number of a sales lead and asked to log in. Searching appliances and the manufacturer asks for me to log in. Research a property online and I'm asked for my Gmail account to log in.At this time I can get what I want without having to log in, but my prediction is that will change and mandatory logins will be required for nearly everything.
I see it coming...

The OP is right the microsoft / google https changed they insisted on creating, pearl script in web markup and other changes creates problems with search results in facebook.
I'm not willing to use internet explorer, edge or google chrome browsers nor am i willing to rely on microsoft security services. Currently using win 7 has microsoft 8 blocks stuffed my win 10 for turning there shit off.
On that computer (has had win 10 reinstalled on C: I've still not yet accessed its secondary drive as I've been unable to change its new drive letter back and to busy)
On both computers I have Spybot running the Win 10 comput Spybot was running paid version Spybot's Anti-Beacon to disable the various tracking (telemetry) features that microsoft transmits out of your computer every time you boot and connect to the internet. Spybot's Anti-Beacon blocks that shit which is providing criminal organization microsoft pybot blocks 500 bits of information.

What's new is asking for the location before you log in.
I wonder tho if it is a way on here to see if people are scammers. I notice often that a handle is followed by a city or country. Then find out they lied and live elsewhere. Or..in another country..like NIGERIA!
