The number of gun owners in America...
I can't find the blog I commented on last week referencing the number of guns sold in America versus the population and from raw facts it would appear each American had a gun. From experience of friends, workers and going to gun shows, I'd estimate one person had 10 guns while 9 didn't, making the tally (from a glance) look like everyone had a gun.Okay, that thought passed. I was listening to a news report of Jeffrey Ferguson, a Superior court Judge in Orange County California had murdered his wife.
Get this: 47 weapons and more than 26,000 rounds of ammunition were recovered during a search of his home, including the pistol used in the shooting. Authorities said the weapons were legally owned. A rifle registered in his name is not accounted for.
72 year old Ferguson was arrested last week. He was released a day later on $1 million bail and set to be arraigned on September first.
That 'shoots a hole' in the statement that each American owns a gun.
A rifle registered in his name is not accounted for, according to the district attorney's office.
Where do you think he stashed the rifle?

My apologies to the OP if I veered off the main topic of gun owners but when a person living in the US asks a question like he did, then that person gives me the impression that he doesn't know what's happening in the world and/or in his own country.
This is a very true statement by Ken:
"Of course we are. In violence in a hostile environment is how America was created."
Which other country has invaded so many other countries as the US?
The American people are violent by nature its in their genes and I doubt if they (mostly the democrats) will change in the next century or two as the urge to dominate and control is too big. Talk is cheap, like stating police violence must end and gun laws must be changed etc. etc. but anyone standing outside the box can see this is just hot air.
And I'm sorry for mentioning Biden, but he is the main source fueling a senseless proxy war that was, in totality, orchestrated by him and NATO, forcing every country to take sides in this absurdity, even those that choose neutrality.
Apologies once again.
JMO.
I'm not sure it's just a numbers game, either. There is devastation, oppression, ethnic cleansing, theft, murder, apartheid, discrimination, tyrants, dictators, despots, cruelty, etc. Urges to dominate are by no means exclusive to the Democrats in the US.

If I recall the 'Brits' tagged along the US in invading Iraq 1991, 2001 and again in 2003? During that time the USA invaded about 10 thats TEN countries, Iraq included. Maybe you can help me to remember what other countries the UK invaded in the past 50 years or so?
You are 100% right there is NO competition the 'Brits' are obedient to their masters.
All these factors you mention is commonly called WAR and just to remind you that my comment read as follows:

Nowhere did I state that it was EXCLUSIVE to the democrats.
Please don't try and twist my words to suite you or your agenda.
But U S of A marches to the Crown
& City of London [ .that is, the Corporation -not the tourist destination.
From WWI on America immigrants to America have been mostly refugees running from danger, vs the earlier ones who came here looking for, or at least not terrified at the idea danger. Is the tendency to fight instead of fleeing hereditary? I know in school 60 or 50 years ago I was told which switch the adrenal gland throws is a 50/50 choice, but a half century later I think whatever study that teaching was based on was a very poor study.
A class of cultures. Those predisposed by heredity to do dangerous things and charge at threats when they see one, and those per-disposed by heredity to run and hide or make any excuse for peace. Our borders are still open and those my own ancestors would call cowards arrive by the thousands daily. Fleeing their country because the crime rate is high. (What genius Congressperson came up with that as an excuse for refugee status?) Our inner city crime must be a total shock to the lies they believed when they sat out for here, LoL. Or my government is oppressive so I am coming to America where the government is not and there is no need to oppose it. Friggin coward. Do what my ancestors did. Pick up your musket and if they oppress you kill the king's soldiers or die trying. Why are you instead running? Is it not better to die as a free man instead of living as a refugee and hoping they don't come here too? Because they will if when the number of cowards outnumber the brave.
Criminals always whine when people notice them and do things to stop them. Russia is no exception to that rule.
A dozen is not at all unusual in my experience.

Not every American owns a gun, but for those who have guns, it's several.

In the wake of Ken's comment that 'violence in a hostile environment is how America was created' and your comment 'the American people are violent by nature its in their genes', I thought it was relevant to point out that we Brits probably trump everyone in terms of a violent, bloody history.
I don't think we're entirely slaves to the US either, although there is an element of that. We've got Tony Blair's war crimes, the occupation of Northern Ireland and donating our policing resources to the Saudi's despite them torturing and hanging children, disabled people and peaceful protestors.
And yet we don't have the same culture of weapons and gun crime.
I've heard a rumour that SA doesn't exactly have a utopian history, either. Is it in your genes?

BTW, you don't mention Anne anymore, what happened? Didn't she support your change of politics?

My boy you don't impress me with you copy change and paste shows. And I'm definitely not here to impress or entertain you or your sidekick. Stick to crystal meth it makes you wise.
Perhaps it would be best to agree to disagree...
Why the crack comment...
A gun owner who can explain his country's history...an insight to the issue at hand...
There are some inflammatory comments on my blog that may get blown away.
I'm sending out a warning...
Here is a World Bank tabulation of intentional homicides per 100,000 residents in 2021. I believe it is flawed by counting the US separate from Puerto Rico statistics, as Puerto Rico is part of the US and the numbers should be added together. So theose 2 statistics should be added together. Noting also the US Supreme Court has always viewed Territories as being a little less Constitutionally protected than an actual US State, the result is guns are officially pretty rare in Puerto Rico, although having once been called to a scene (2005) to stand over the body of someone on Avenida Seis in Puerto Rico's Carolina district (the housing projects) shot to death by a gang simply because they found my business card in his possession and knowing also of a murdered Policia Federales who had stumbled across a group unloading Cocaine from a boat at a beach he had gone to fish at on his day off, I can attest, yes their are illegal (many) guns on that island.
Okay I digress. I will cut and paste. Look at the 2021 intentional US homicide rate, then scroll down to the line covering one of our more vocal opposers here to the US being an armed. 42? Over twice ours. And most of those without any firearms.
