Israel is being attacked at this time

Israel is under attack by Iran. Drones from Iran are on the way at this time against Israel.

Hopefully, Israel will defend themselves against Iran, and eventually put Iran in their much needed place. My country (U.S.A.) needs to stand behind Israel and help Israel defeat Iran's regime.

Pray for Israel and its people.

According to the Shortest War Is Best (or Less Bad) line of thinking ...
It may be argued that providing "Humanitarian Aid" or calling for "Humanitarian Cease Fire" will prolong the war and could be regarded as an Atrocity, War Crime or Crime Against Humanity.

Mic...
I can see your reasoning...looking at the Ukraine debacle...as in allowing Putin to gain territory for peace sake...only to lull everyone into the idea of peace...
I find the whole thing unsettling...
Ukraine is War done the old fashioned Russian way ... attrition...
And little regard for human life - Ukraine Or Russian.

Hitler will run out of bullets before I run out of Red Army.

Ukraine has become an rtillery duel and Russia Will Win.

It's simple numbers ...
The US/West can vote money and be damned.

The US produces30,000 artillery shells/month
Russia produces 30,000 shells/DAY.

Like I said ...Simple Numbers.

cowboy
Where did you get the info that Russia produces 30,000 shells/day?
Riz...
Was thinking about that too...considering the sanctions and lack of buying power...I was under the impression that they are not manufacturing or have the ability to pay...

dunno
I heard it reported on news - Should've looked before posting.

"Russia is producing about 250,000 artillery munitions per month, or about 3 million a year, according to NATO intelligence estimates of Russian defense production shared with CNN, as well as sources familiar with Western efforts to arm Ukraine. Collectively, the US and Europe have the capacity to generate only about 1.2 million munitions annually to send to Kyiv, a senior European intelligence official told CNN."

Note that the 3 - 1 Russian advantage includes production of ALL Ukraine's European Allies And the US
-
It's still a war of attrition and Russia Will Win.... like I said - Simple Numbers

Not talking aboit fighting, but cinvincing around the dinner tables.
There must still be some mothers and elders that can try talk some strict words to their young men, sons and nephews.
Me, knowing the Hebrew language, and Israel, the name „Jerusalem“, in Hebrew „Yerushalaim“
„a’im“ means something double like 2 hills. The word „Yerusha“ in Hebrew means heritage or inheritance or wealth
BUT, the word „Yerushalaim“ is older than Hebrew and certainly older than the Arabic language.
Yes the Jews were in Jerusalem then, long before they invented their own language (Hebrew, Ivrit) which is 100 years younger then Armenian language.
My reference was a Bible Dictionary, the authors of which likely knew Less of the subject that you
And almost Certainly did Not speak Hebrew.

I graciously concede the point ... bowing

I was referring to this comment by you Grand.

I think a revolt inside the strip could come in very handy here.
If that is impossible cos the citizens of Gaza is too afraid
I'd say it's impossible because Hamas would slaughter those engaged in the revolt.

They would yes.
Hamas are one of those entities that you can vote in but you can't vote out. Trump is like that too, although I'm not saying he's a mass murderer like Hamas.
Israel attacked Iran first

Israels' dome stopped all but 4 of those strikes by Iran with no harm done to Israel except a little 7 year old girl whom was hit by surrounding shrapnel

Anyhoo Israel is into genocide
I was talking to someone that told me in a conversation regarding this...Iran strike was in retaliation but the targets were given (divulged) and Israel intercepted...most of them...
A tit for tat situation perhaps but not sure how this is going to go...
I feel sad for the civilians caught in this game...no winners...
The destruction of Iranian missiles and drones cost billions of dollars, so Israel and the US will not be able to repel attacks of such intensity for several days in a row, former US intelligence officer and UN weapons inspector to Iraq Scott Ritter told Al Mayadeen TV channel.

"First of all, when we talk about Israel's defense, Israel cannot defend itself. There has been proof of that: Iranian missiles hit Israeli bases," he opined. "What we also have to understand is the amount of money that is spent to defend Israel against drones and cruise missiles. It's billions of dollars. This is an unrepeatable event," Ritter added.

The U.N. Security Council was set to meet at 4 p.m. on Sunday after Israel requested it condemn Iran's attack and designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization, according to a schedule released late on Saturday.

Russian Deputy U.N. Ambassador Dmitry Polyanskiy said on the Telegram social media app that in addition to a letter from Israel, the Security Council had received one from Iran asserting its attack was within the U.N. Charter framework governing the right to self-defense.

"The latter warns that if Israel responds, Iran will respond in a more powerful and decisive manner," Polyanskiy said.

Syria, an ally of Iran, said it was putting its ground-to-air defense systems around the capital and major bases on high alert, army sources there said.

Israel's Iron Dome air defense system cannot fully protect the defending side from a comprehensive attack by numerous drones and ballistic missiles, Chinese military expert Wei Dongxu has told the Global Times newspaper in the wake of Iran's strike on Israel.

"Israel's air defense and missile defense systems are unable to fully deflect saturation attacks by ballistic missiles and suicide drones," the analyst said. "Drones fly in low-altitude areas, using swarm tactics to overwhelm the opponent's air defense system, allowing for saturation attacks on targets within the region."

Do you really think quoting this disgraced USA military employee should be taken seriously?...confused
He is a traitor and a liar for profit (think Putin)...he is also a convicted sex offender...not a great example of reliable information...
Yea unfortunately.

My thought is along the liese of holding the group responsible somehow.
These limited numbers of hamas soliders, or mafia if you want cos thats more like it,
must have some family members close by. Any hamas terrorist has a sister, son, mother
or similar.
So you understand what I'm gaining at.
I wish a group of elders would reach out to IDF
and together find a more suitable government to deal with
than these rich mafia-hamas leaders
in 5 star hotels in Dubai, running their organized crime ring/militia from there.
I want them out of the loop.

YES it will never happen, I know.
I'm a dreamer you see, and I know there are quite few
frustrated Palestinians in Gaza who feel just as I do here.

Without that help of the civilians on Gaza IDF will go ahead anyway you see
and that will lead to more deaths than it could of been.
Yes not an armed stand up to their hamas, but a soft revolution, a revolution never the less. Maybe I should have used a different word. Any suggestions? Turn around, fendamental change, people rule, provisional government-

N'yhows- I do knowHamas will go on.
And it bothers me.
"Palestinians"/Gazans are between a rock covered with scorpions and a hard place that's on fire.

NOone wants 'em and Israel is stuck with 'em.
Among 22 Islamic nations... No One has offered to take in a Single Gazan Refugee.

When Israel began moving South towards Rafab ... Egypt sent personnel to the Gaza border to facilitate admittance of Gazan Refugees.
rolling on the floor laughing
Egypt moved in personnel & concrete barriers to prevent a Single Gazan from crossing the border.

Np probs Grand but as for change don't you think religion and politics have a lot to answer for in modern day society.

Who is Palestine controlled by?

Presently, most of the West Bank is administered by Israel though 42% of it is under varying degrees of autonomous rule by the Fatah-run Palestinian Authority. The Gaza Strip is currently under the control of Hamas.

Therein lies the problem ,a nation divided.sigh
First of all, I want to thank the author of the blog. Thank you ShawnSuperstar for not passing this topic by in the face of mass hysteria of Jews haters. Since they left here their vile comments, emanating bile from their hatred of Jews, I will answer them. How do you think Israel survived for 75 years, surrounded by enemies? It s because this country knows how to protect its citizens. Yes, there were mistakes and there will be more, but to your regret, unlike your Palestinian protégés, who always hide behind the backs of "civilian" population, the Israeli army, despite the composition of the government, protects its citizens. and has been doing this successfully for 75 years. I realize you cant sleep well because of it, that the best Jew for you is a dead Jew, but sorry i have to disappoint you ,Israel will exist . Am Israel hai
Grand, your dreams are utopian. I already told you this before. Residents of the Gaza Strip will not go to this, since the majority support Hamas and hate Israel. In general, the entire gaza sector is divided into several criminal clans. sometimes they fight among themselves, but for the most part they are in solidarity with the Hamas clan. The Israeli intelligence service tried to play on the enmity of the clans a couple of months ago, when the Hamas police killed the son of one of the clan leaders during the theft of humanitarian aid and almost reached an agreement with the leader of one of their clans, but the next day he was captured by the Hamas and they carried out a showy public execution as Zionist spy. I don’t think that after this anyone will risk taking such a step. the only way out is to put an end to Hamas, that is, go into Rafiah and do a clean-up at any cost.
I didn't know that.

However this article is about Egypt's preparations for a mass exodus of Gazan refugees ahead of an Israeli attack on Rafah.
A compound is being constructed reportedly for them.
Egypt can only deal with refugees when Israel allows them through, which so far they are not.
If this is as it appears then credit to Egypt, or I may be reading it wrong

Re: Sal's comment...

Israel uses its military to protect civilians.
Hamas uses civilians (and hostages) to protect itself.

I hope they do Salamuna but in the same context I would also like to see the innocents of Palestine caught up in a war not of their making survive this travesty.

For me a war is not about Jews,Hamas Arab or whatever, more about the innocents that suffer on both sides especially children.

Both countries deserve to live in peace .
Merlot ...
Reports appear to conflict ...

dunno

Both reports are from February.
To date ... I've heard no reports of Gazans admitted to Egypt.

rolling on the floor laughing
funny to hear this from a hypocrite
mic you are unlikely to get accurate information in the English-speaking media press. Of all the hypocritical Europe and America, perhaps only Germany provides more or less reliable information. and the situation for now is that the Israeli army is currently busy building a new refugee camp in the safe zone of the sector, where people from Rafah will soon be resettled. some of them, only women and children under 10 years old will be temporarily accepted by Egypt (this is the condition of the Egyptians - no men and teenagers)
Sal...
Regarding your comment about people here hating Jews...I think that you are hyper-sensitive and that is not the picture I got from the verbal exchanges here...most here (due to distance) want to understand the issues on both sides...the goal for most (if I can speak for some) is to get clarity not to hate or point fingers...it is also a great concern for most that innocent people are being killed/hurt for what gain?...
The Hamas do not represent the masses...nor are they concerned civilian fatalities...that much I can surmise from what is being reported (imo) that is why it is important to show empathy to those who have no voices in this conflict...
So why the name calling. Does it make you feel betterdunno

Because I support the human race in general that makes me a hypocrite? Really.?

I come from a town where Jews were part of my life and who have lived here for over a Century, long before Israel was formed. running many of the Kosher hotels in the past.I worked as an accountant for David Kay one of the 3 Kosher butchers in Bournemouth who supplied these Hotels.

I also worked for another wonderful Jewish man in the Music business in Bournemouth.

You know nothing about me but choose to judge me . Shame on you scold

Anti Israeli protesters took to the streets in various cities across the U.S. yesterday (Sunday).

Some were on one of the bridges handcuffing themselves to cars, while others were blocking traffic, and burning the American flag while chanting death to America.
thumbs down
Yea, I feel the same way as you about that Shawn.
Just remember that is freedom of speech in action...the destruction or property damage will be dealt with by the police (if there is any damage made by the protesters)...
Burning a flag is not a crime...
What it tells me that people are distressed and the discord from these two groups goes back a long time...just like the old wounds left to fester...

sigh
Yes I'm afraid so.
