Whilst waiting for a delivery.

Whilst waiting for a delivery today I thought I'd get a few jobs done around the house. Defrosting the fridge went well. I cleaned the oven, got it all nice and sparkly. Then I thought I'd cook some chicken ready for tonight's meal. I put it in the oven, switched it on and then my son came out into the kitchen to tell me the electricity had suddenly gone off. I turned off the oven whilst he flicked a few switches, the electric came back on so I put the oven back on and guess what---the electric went off again. That's when we figured out that the oven was the problem. The rest of the cooker is fine. Any way I get my microwave manual out to see if it's ok to cook chicken in there. It is. Now this is the first time I've cooked chicken in the microwave----I burnt the chicken.frustrated laugh Think we'll eat out tonight. Have a good day everyone.teddybear heart wings bouquet

Hi Sweet!!!!! Don't you hate that when it happens??? doh Hope you have a great dinner !!! very happy
Yes I hate that when it happens but still that's life. Still it's lucky we don't use the oven that often. In this house it's either stuff we cook on the hob or microwave. I am actually thinking of getting a smaller cooker. I've had the cooker 6 years now and that was the first problem I've had with it.
Ironicly, I cooked a chicken in my oven last night.

You can boil the chicken in a big pot on the stove.
It comes out quite tender that way. thumbs up

It sounds like perhaps a heating element is shorting out in
your oven.
Thanks Jim. If it is the heating element well I was thinking of getting a smaller cooker anyway. The oven rarely gets used anyway unless my son's in the mood for making cakes or I just feel like cooking chicken or something else in there.
I have never heard of a hob.
