The eyes have it.
I just posted another nature photoalbum on the 8th elsewhere. It contains 43 nature photos and one of a sexy gal in a kyak.
I have several dragonfly photos there and here is an extreme
close-up of one's face.
Like many insects, dragonflies have compound eyes.
It's almost like having thousands of eyes per eye.
If the eyes are the windows of the soul, they must have LOTS of souls.
Each facet in the eye functions like a separate eye.
All this information is processed differently by their brain
to give very high resolution imaging.
It also results in them being able to detect motion
extremely well.
With no further ado, here's today's photo.
Once again, click on the photo to see the whole photo
Enjoy !

If the white under the "pink floyd album" picture nose is the rest of his face i would say that he hasn't had his morning shave yet. But i think there is i little smile on the mouth, i say he's a happy fly.
They see it several thousand fold.
i wouldn't....date it....lol, but i love it!
Seriously, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
you so right Jim..........
Do you know how do they get that eyes colour?
When that light reaches an object, some wavelengths are absorbed while others are reflected. White objects reflect all, while black objects absorb all visible wavelengths.
Those things that have color are because they absorb some colors and reflect others. Sunshine has all the colors of the rainbow.

Hi Jim,
With that explanation, about reflect I don't need to know anything else...
Just kidding...
Thank you for your sweet answered!
