Have we forgotten the true meaning of Christmas???
Just take time as you buy that extra present you cannot really afford,, What is the true meaning of Christmas,,,,,,,,
It isn't about the boxes and bows. Even the Grinch found that out.
Every Who down in Whoville, the tall and the small,
Was singing! Without any presents at all!
He HADN’T stopped Christmas from coming! IT CAME!
Somehow or other, it came just the same!
And the Grinch, with his grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow,
Stood puzzling and puzzling: “How could it be so?”
“It came with out ribbons! It came without tags!”
“It came without packages, boxes or bags!”
And he puzzled three hours, till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before!
“Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store.”
“Maybe Christmas…perhaps…means a little bit more!”
And what happened then? Well…in Whoville they say,
That the Grinch’s small heart Grew three sizes that day!
Merry Christmas,, Naddolig Llawen,, Joyeux Noêl,, Buon Natale,, Frohe Weihnachten,, Milied kuntenti,,?a?? ???st???e??a,,No matter the language,,

@ L T D: There is no concrete evidence when Jesus was born but theologists have estimated it to be in September/October and that was figured out when HE was crucified at age 33 years and 3 months.
@ Kapjen: that's why I just about always say "have a Happy Birthday Jesus day" to all those who are Christian. And to all others I say happy holidays because I love you if you aren't Christian!

25th of December was chosen as the Birthday of Jesus because it's connected with the "birth" of the sun. Meaning that around this date the day starts growing. Science, folklore and religion are connected. Christianity was wise enough to use many of the pagan/folklore days/rituals/beliefs and to transform them in a new faith.

Only the Armenian church held to the original celebration of Christ's birth with Epiphany on January 6.
