I need to VENT a little.....well

Maybe more than a little..... very mad

Really, REALLY hate it when someone is condescending, rude or arrogant!!!! very mad very mad

Acting in this manner is bad enough in your private life. It's uncalled for, but at least you can make your feelings known to the other person. In a professional atmosphere it's totally UNprofessional, uncalled for and quite frustrating since, trying to keep YOUR professional persona in tact, you can't become confrontational... very mad very mad very mad

When all you really want to do is:
1. Hang up on them
2. Put them on hold and let them rant to themselves
3. Put them in their place
4. All of the above!!

Really don't understand why people feel the need or feel they have the right to mistreat other prople in this manner. However, I DO know it's adding to my grey hair...

There, now I feel better (well a little anyway) grin

non...If I had to picture, in cartoon fashion, the person I was on the phone with, it would have to have been the Tasmanian Devil...laugh laugh laugh wow, that does make me feel a little better.... giggle giggle giggle
teddyb.... wave That's why I'm here....to vent, commiserate and maybe have a few laughs...... wine wine
Lgs gosh they sound rowdy got themselves in a spin did they laugh rolling on the floor laughing
Teddy, it might be better if they didn't answer, I had to phone them 8 times to get them to put the right the address on my bills, still nothing, so I got a Spanish friend to call, she told me after speaking to them that it was no wonder they couldn't understand the address, the operator was in Mexico & didn't even know where Spain waswow
lgs, one thing you can always do and it is perfectly ok is to politely ask them to tone it down and talk to you like an adult and that you do not appreciate being talked to in that manner. I know it's not always easy to do, but most of the time it will get them to step back a little and opens a new dialogue. I have done this myself. I don't think I have ever had anyone react in a negative way when doing this. Explain that you are there to help them, but refuse to be talked to in that manner. Might work?

Talking about phones and live people, when we do get a live person, their English is usually so bad you can't understand them and have to ask them to repeat it so many times you forgot what you called about!
hello ,hello ,hello are you there ,this is tresemme hair colour agent with a new product are you there --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
non...You have NO I idea!! What makes it worse is that it's someone I have to deal with on almost a daily basis and she thinks that an off handed "Oh, sorry I yelled at you" (delivered via email) makes it all better.......
Sooner: I'm not in a call center dealing with random people that I'll probably not ever talk to again. Unfortunately this is someone that I will have to continue to work with (not a co-worker) so, to even say that could lose us business.....but this works...venting, laughing...I'm already feeling a little better.....thumbs up
