What happened to our children

I work with a large retail company and here we are during the holidays and a lot of customers. today and not only today I seen young kids running threw the store playing with toys leaving them on the floor just running wild. Father or mother no where in site and some times there with them. I was raised to be respectful and raised my kids the same way, I am afraid we have almost lost a generation, so I ask my self "what happened to our children"

Hi!
hmmmmm, yes it sounds bad the way you describe this...
But thinking back at my own childhood, it might not be so bad afterall? Can still see the smoke, angry parents and nervous teachers... And a bunch of happy kids!grin cheers
yeah, I know what you mean... I think it`s also a case of lasy or negleckting parents...modern humans with all kind of strange idèas.dunno uh oh
Viking, there use to be a commercial on t.v. saying it is 11 o clock do you know where your kids are. maybe they should have one asking kids do you know where your parents are
I used to work in a store like that. I just gave up and went somewhere else. I have no patience when it comes to irresponsible children and parents!
Ed, I understand what you say, wish I could do this but have to work
Leah, you are so right,it has become to be real scarey anymore as in how you are to raise your kids. some times we need the good old days
oh, they just learn how to behave from the parents.... dunno
Bogart, I am afraid you are right. is it the changes in the world or us parents, I have noticed one thing , I see a lot of kids having kids
laugh Wenever: Oh! Just let those kids play! They got 20 years to play. You had your 20 years, to eat, sleep and play too. So! when they leave out the store. Just pick them up! And put them back on the shelf, where they belongs. Its Christmas season . . wink
I use to love kids and enjoyed entertaining them but the monsters that they call kids nowadays are very hard to tolerate. The least parents can do is teach them to respect others around them as well as things that does not belong to them. doh
Instead of putting the blame on the present-time parents, maybe you can come up with an idea for your company to prepare a room or a corner for the kids to play. Plan some educational program for the kids (and along with the parents) how to play and at the same time teach them how to be responsible with their toys after they play.
Yes it is a funny thing my friend. We were not allowed to touch a thing in a shop and I taught my children the same. I would seem like children today cannot look without using their hands.laugh
angel, you cant put damaged product back on the shelf. yes it is Christmas but no excuse for this. I never behaved like this, thank you for your comment wave
Ekself, thank you you said a lot in a little space we are in agreement on this matter cheers
Kaetchen, that is a wonderful idea, but I could never see that happening where I work, thank you applause
Catfoot , thank you " Lord help our children and us parents " hope you feel better my friend cheers
spare the rod and spoil the kid.
Aikaorjun, thanks for the comment and yes amen applause
I know how everyone feels. One day I donated my car to the high school I went to. It was practically the first time I have been back since I graduated. We got there about the time school let out...

Can you guess what happened?

Every single student in the entire school parking lot left before we could proceed. Out of over one hundred cars, not one of them offered to let us through.

I felt like taking my car to a different school...
