my good deed for the day..

...last year I saw this poor old bugger in his late 60's filthy dirty ..picking up anything metal for scrap. While I was watching him in this fast food area car park I watched in dismay at people tossing their garbage out the window, he would scuttle over to see what he could salvage.

So I drove up to him and tossed something at him, 20BD ($50)..he cried and sat on the kerb thanking Allah..doh

Anyway my good deed for today was to pay for a women to see her kids she hadn't seen in 2 years. She worked in Kuwait as a maid and her sponsors treated her badly, locked her in her room for 2 days with no food or water because she complained. She managed to escape and get back to Manila where she resides with her cousin looking for a job.

She hasn't managed to see her kids in two years..so last week i got her a flight to her home town and some extra money for present for her kids.

Some people piss money up the wall smoking or drinking, or complaining that life is shite...get a life !.

Those sceptics out there will say ..oh but you sure she went and not spent your money..yes i am sure..got the photos to match...$75 was not much for a flight and i got great satisfaction with her gratification of my help.

I'm not here to blow my own trumpet, but some of you here need a kick up the arse..mopeing around feeling sorry for yourself..there is always somebody worse off. frustrated

Regarding your good deeds I agree entirely. This world is in need of such people to bring some positive energy.

I myself cannot give money but do volunteer work and also gives things away to charity shops.

I wrote a blog about paying it forward which was inspired from the movies.
