Coffee Klatch...
There are a group of friends that I get together with at the local coffee shop. We meet a couple of times per week. We have our own table in a room where no one else in the shop will be disturbed unless they stand in the doorway and eavesdrop. One day my friends and I were tasting coffees from all around the world. We were giggling and thoroughly enjoying the flavors and aromas of the different beans.
An acquaintance of mine came into the shop. He saw and heard us in the separate room and he stopped by the door to see what was happening. I waved to him and invited him over.
He turned up his nose and said, "I wouldn't be caught dead hanging out with you coffee loving idiots"
Surprised and a little dismayed, I replied, "okay. Well, enjoy your day then." I gave my attention back to the table and continued enjoying these excellent company and magical elixirs called coffee.
A couple of days later, I ran into this same acquaintance. He was really angry. He told me that I had a nerve, taking up space in the cafe, laughing and carrying on with a bunch of idiots.
I told him that I didn't understand why it would bother him, since he has the choice to just get his coffee and sit at another table with people he likes better. He said that he thought it was wrong for me to have this group of people that I enjoy so much and that he was going to tell the manager to kick us out.
The management, realizing that it was jealousy and unwarranted anger that caused the complaint, denied the request of the 'hater'. If only all managers of establishments could be so fair minded. *sigh

The coffee shop has been gone for a few years now, and oh how I miss that table of knowledge.
I like you and if you liked me too, I would have coffee with you.
I had a similar group that met at a place called "Coffee Breath" café. Everyone who was in our group, every time we took a sip of coffee, right afterward they would let out a real loud, "Aahhhh!"
Every time, after every single sip. We sometimes did it at the same time like a chorus, and it came out extra loud then.
So, some of the other customers who were trying to eat their breakfast and spiked coffees in calm quietness, sometimes complained to management.
When one lady complained to the manager, the manager took a sip of his coffee and said, "Aahhhh, okay I'll let them know."
Have a fun day.
It's so nice to be with people who can lift each other up through laughter.
In reality I don't look even half as nice.
Well, I'm glad "your" manger is fair minded!!
Hey 1to1
To drink coffee and meet with friends.
That acquaintance of yours is not somebody I would want to be acquainted with.
And this is from a non-coffee drinker who totally appreciates the beauty of coffee
I choose to stick with the fun ones even if I have to find new coffee shops to hang out in, in order to be with them.
