"The Collapse Of Swedish...

...Police, Law And Legal System"

For some time there has been reports that Sweden is in decline due to pressures put upon its societal and economic institutions by the influx of immigrants.

Until recently, these reports have come largely from individuals reporting/opining on venues such as YouTube.

Recent reports from Swedish officials now appear to be saying much the same thing.
This from Stockholm's Chief Of Police...

YouTube The Collapse of Swedish Police, Law and Legal System

More evidence that the situation is deteriorating, perhaps more quickly than even YouTube opiners predicted...

YouTube NORWAY: WE'RE READY TO ABANDON INTERNATIONAL LAW

Basically, the Norwegian PM has announced that country will not abide by Geneva Convention provisions for taking in refugees, and will close and enforce its border with Sweden in the event of its collapse.

Individuals opining via YouTube vids are one thing.
Official actions being announced by a head of state are quite another.
'Actions speaking louder than words', as the saying goes.

This is as heartbreaking as it is surprising.
Sweden has long been thought of as one of the better and more progressive societies in which to live.
That it now appears confronted with a situation which may lead to its collapse is something that would've been well nigh unimaginable not so very long ago.

Ms Loulou, and where did you see name calling? I just state facts. You should take your liberal bias and do some homework on Sweden. Your ignorance of the matter is overwhelming.
Sea

You do not know me or my politics...and you did name call...cheap shot...perhaps you need to stop spreading hate towards Muslims...dunno

You can have an opinion but stop calling others here mentally unstable, drunks or other unmensionables...peace to you...wine
Ms loulou, Let me make this perfectly clear to you and your liberal lefties You will not take away my free speech no matter how hard you try. As you fail to see my remarks were about ppl in general who have various issues. the alcohol remark was because since I've been on this board (not very long) the person has mentioned she was drinking beer. So, recant your statement if your a big enough person.
Pay close attention to your liberal and cowardly PM. Today, they put a rule in place to shut down Google search. How does taken away that freedom effect you?
Sea

You can hide behind your "speech"...and try to pull a Trump...lol...laugh

But everyone has the ability to read between the lines...and your true colours are showing...Being kind is a good trait to have as well as tolerance towards others...

Your not as "free" as you think...

Try not to hate certain groups of people...most are moderate...very few wish ill on others...

Try not to be caught up in such propaganda...enjoy yourself amongst the sea and fish...

Ms loulou, ok. lets put this to bed once and for all. It is a myth to believe there're moderate muslims. If they believe in the koran and practice (or wish to practice) sharia, then they are part of of the cult. If they don't abide by the koran or practice sharia then they have committed the deadly sin of hypocrisy (punishable by death)

Why do you think the theater in Manchester was blown up? There could have been muslims in there. Becausew if muslims were in there and they were listening to MUSIC then in eyes of the attackers they committed hypocrisy, punishable by death.
My country is totally over-run with refugees sad flower

We have taken in 10 million

Ms loulou, I never thought you would see my point of view. But, remember even when I'm wrong, I'm right grin
Micman----Had been considering going to Sweden to volunteer with traumatised refugee kids and their families. Thanks. Reports, such as yours, have me reconsidering. Aa.
Mic

I work with a Muslim woman...she is a good friend of mine...I would be embarrassed to show her some of the comments on here...

Canada is a vast country...vetting refugees does happen here...not many wanted to come to Canada...more wanted to be close to their own country and familiar surroundings or cultural practices...but for some families they took the plung...learning a new language and 'fitting in' with a unknown country can be quite daunting...

I have empathy for those seeking a safe place to call home even if it a short stay...it is what humans do when war disrupts life as we know it...

Instead of touting that the US is the greatest country on Earth...may I suggest a campaign to show the world that the US is not fit for others...no wall needed...lol...laugh

Propaganda technique to stop the influx of refugee claiments...

Swedes are very difficult to like or respect and the Scandinavian model is an exclusive cut-above the default state of humanity. Sweden is the last place which should welcome hostile outsiders.
Miclee ~ Yes, there was excellent coverage of the wall and solar panels last week on T.V.and in some of the Newspapers. It would seem to be an excellent idea. Anything that is ecologically sound and offers cheap energy has to be positive for everyone. And it is not false news more to the point.

Poor old Sweden got side swept along this blog but I guess it's a long road without a bend as they say
here in Ireland.

wink Good News for a change. sick goodluck: I think we could do with similar here, really cold for midsummer and raining cats and dogs for the past couple of Days. dancing dog cats meow whichi is, of course why our scenery is so green and lush. Brrrrrrr..uh oh
You raise an interesting point not yet touched upon, Chesney.
That being, how immigrants - any immigrants - would be received in Sweden/Scandinavia.

Swedes are somewhat stereotyped as being a bit reserved, one might say aloof, even amongst themselves.
A meme humorously depicts this trait.
Search - Swedes waiting for a bus meme
It depicts a few Swedes at a bus stop, but spaced out along the better part of a city block, thus avoiding interaction with one another.

This is not a put down of Swedes.
One's personal space varies by culture. It is not so much a question of what is 'good' or 'bad' but simply how things are done differently in different places.

The relatively small personal space accepted as 'normal' in, say, a country such as Japan would give someone accustomed to a large personal space, say, Swedes the heebie jeebies...drive 'em up a wall, as it were.

I've had occasion to work with Japanese folks within their context of personal space and my Murkun liking for a large personal space initially caused such a reaction in me.
Eventually I got used to it and came to appreciate that begavior I'd first considered quite intrusive wasn't really so bad...even kinda enjoyable.

Anyway.
Where am I going with this?
I'm simply expanding upon Chesney's point that a culture in which folks may be a mite standoffish even amongst themselves might make immigrants from a different culture feel they are being isolated - snubbed, if you will - when this was not necessarily the intent.

Swedes simply behaving in a typically Swedish manner may not make Sweden the easiest culture to assimilate immigrants. Any immigrants.

Good point, Chesney! cheers

Miclee I have not lived in Sweden. Along the way however I have met enough Swedish people to form an opinion. I would agree, they are very reserved but polite. Muslims I have met here and in U.K. from many countries, Libya, Syria, etc., are polite, so I would not see a great difference there.

Swedish people have a sense of humour, different but still a sense of humour. When you get to know them, they are straight talking, no nonsense people. I have never found them to be cold. Just not gushing and they take time to forge a friendship which I admire rather than the 'best friends in 5 minutes' that is never sincere.

Just my humble opinion.
Cold & raining now in Ireland...

those steak daggers are on the way laugh laugh
Mic, just thinking about this solar panel wall idea, for the moment forgetting the angle to the sun they have be set at, if the wall is to be say 25ft high, looking at the cost of panels each foot of wall would be 25 sq ft of panel, rough cost of that $290.50, at 5280 feet per mile that's $1,533,840, so 1200 miles of that would be $1,843,608,000, then add the framework, same again? Then the transformers you'd need every few yards to get the voltage up, low voltage loss is huge over any distance, then add the cabling, then the labour, I don't know guess would be say 10 trillion?? As these panels will last say 25 years the whole project has to pay for itself in that time, then add interest on the loan for 25 years, plus the loan repayment, then consider solar panels don't produce anything at night, when most homes need it, so most of the electric will have to be sold to commercial users that only operate during the day & for A/C etc, I'm guessing that will be the most expensive electricity the world has ever seen dunno
Congrats on winning the virtual dandy steak knives, gg!

party

I still haven't found the blasted things. mumbling
Funny thing 'bout virtual stuff confused
It gets misplaced so easily it's almost like it never existed at all.
