Thoughts about love
Love is a controversial feeling, both cure and ruin,A reason to live or die.
Some people say there is no love without suffering,
Still what is worth life without love?
Here, I share Perhaps Love, with Placido Domingo and John Denver, a poem in the form of song that can define love better than me.

Don't give up on love, Johnny!
Annanda...beautiful song
There are all kinds of Love
Daniela, thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
Daniela...I think I might be in the search for the understanding of that. Maybe that is a fool's task though.
People say Italian is the language of love. Is it? Or that would be French?
Love is complex.
I agree that some people are not ready to be loved...perhaps too much suffering leads to that.
That's a topic for another blog post. Who is willing to write?
For now, it's good to have in mind that there are others forms of love, not only romantic love, which perhaps is what most of us think about when love is on the spot.
Maybe Johnny you're looking in the wrong places?
Also...FEAR is the biggest obstacle to Love.
FEAR stops the flow of love.
However, the fear also reminds me of that saying "once burned, twice scared".
How can someone cross the fear barrier? Any ideas?
"This thing called love, I just can't handle it...."
I agree "you just have to put your heart and soul into it," otherwise what is the point.
It must be a risk-it-all game to feel it to the fullest.

LYRICS
You must understand though the touch of your hand
Makes my pulse react
That it's only the thrill of boy meeting girl
Opposites attract
It's physical
Only logical
You must try to ignore that it means more than that ooo
What's love got to do, got to do with it
What's love but a second hand emotion
What's love got to do, got to do with it
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken
It may seem to you that I'm acting confused
When you're close to me
If I tend to look dazed I've read it someplace
I've got cause to be
There's a name for it
There's a phrase that fits
But whatever the reason you do it for me ooo
What's love got to do, got to do with it
What's love but a second hand emotion
What's love got to do, got to do with it
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken
I've been taking on a new direction
But I have to say
I've been thinking about my own protection
It scares me to feel this way oh oh oh
What's love got to do, got to do with it
What's love but a second hand emotion
What's love got to do, got to do with it
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken
What's love got to do, got to do with it
What's love but a sweet old fashioned notion
What's love got to do, got to do with it
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken
ooh got to do with it
(What's love but a second hand emotion)
What's love got to do, got to do with it
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken
(What's love got to do with it) got to do with it
(What's love)
I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks for sharing Tina's lyrics.
I believe this song is all about fear of love.
Another quote which comes to mind from Rumi....
"Your task is not to seek for love but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it"
Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece.
I hope you can find love again!
Without barriers and fears, love would come easier...with a little luck from the Gods.
Thanks for sharing
is just to love and be loved in return."
I am sorry for anyone not having any of these - not everyone has a good family or a solid, lasting relationship. Having something "solid" is important for the soul I think.
Is a man's man....like my Dad
Likes to socialize evenings without drinks (soda,)
Shooting pool,bowling leagues , archery,gun clubs
You can meet someone and have companionship
Go slow in building a romance .
What one observed shows the attention to body
language etc interaction
My idea if love is Respect.Without it,I couldn't
..just couldn't go there.
Anywho....
Mr.Seaworthy
I hope you understood my comment about you and
TR on Usha's blog -it referenced him travelling to Aruba
inadvertently, and being on the wrong side of ocean
( Keeping Usha waiting)
You would steer him in the right direction.
Wouldn't you.PS he really needs a wardrobe makeover.
You are so right about what you say....that is most like why I am a still single with my local search.
But, there might be a trade-off for me though.
The value offered needs to be somewhat equal to the value received. (usually anyway...on a subconscious level too...usually again)
If I am looking for something of higher value in one department, I may have to sacrifice the level of value in another department.
Of course, that is just one scenario.
