Tired of the same boring blogs every day ?

Some people want to control what you see. Strange isn't it ?
They don't want you to see newer blogs, especially if there's something that doesn't
jive with their archaic belief systems.

But, that's the way some people are.
So, a clique of people make sure they comment on the same old boring blogs
every day, so those blogs sort at the top.
So, rather than seeing fresh new blogs, you get the same sh*t on different days laugh
day after day after day, ad nauseam
with the same people chit chatting.
Those "blogs" really belong in the forums.

I've seen multiple complaints about that from multiple people.
There's even a recent blog complaining about it.
It ends up chasing new people away from the blogs and the site,
which is a shame.

Well, there's a simple solution.

When you go to the blogs home page, simply go to the second option "Order By"
at the top and in the pulldown menu click on "Newest" to sort the blogs by newest blogs first,
which several bloggers have expressed, is the way, it should be.

Unfortunately, you have to do this each time you go to that page,
because the default setting is the last commented on.
That's why the control freaks comment, when they have nothing relevant to say.
But, it's worth the click to see the freshest new blogs. peace

Try the blogs less traveled, they can make all the difference.
Happy blogging peace

What's interesting for me, might be boring for you.
"Some people want to control what you see. Strange isn't it ?"..... that's a paradox.
However, I'm on the new blog.
Yes, some people might want to see the same blog every day.
This blog is not for them, UNLESS they want to see this blog every day,
which I would not recommend. laugh
... looking forward for the new addyourcaptiontothephoto blog.
The biggest problem with reviving new blogs/threads is that most people who commented on them are simply not here any more and it often looks like speaking with ghosts. I've always thought that it's much better to open a new thread about the same topic then to write on one that is very old - especially many pages long. Nobody wants to read so many comments of people who aren't here any more. Yet, this is often the policy of forums - 10+ year-old threads are constantly kept alive with thousands of posts...

On blogs - opening a similar blog by the same or another person would probably create many problems. There will always be someone screaming: "You stole my blog idea" or someone else saying: "You've already written about this - you are not creative, you cannot think of anything new" and we will have again another fight. Compare to this - reviving old blogs is much better. Of course that can create another fight that starts with: "Reviving old blogs makes my new blogs less read and popular", but one cannot have everything. dunno

Thanks for the tip! thumbs up
Why comment on an old blog as the OP is not here anymore to read your comment. Nothing wrong with writing your own blog about the subject as we get lots and lots of blogs on the same subject anyway. Not that many different things to write about but lots of different veiw points.
Biff...good idea....will boost the happy, funny and interesting blogs even if I just post wave I don't like answering comments on my old blogs. Yesterday is yesterday and today is today and I prefer not mixing up the 2.
Thanks for your blog i know now to to find the new blogshandshake
I try to read a variety, but I don't always feel the need to say something. But I wouldn't say I am a blogger. I just find certain people interesting.

After all isn't that what the blogs are about. People that are interesting and have something to say.
ba - what an odd statement on this blog, which has nothing to do with those blogs, from someone who doesn't comment on those blogs. Please try to keep on topic. Thanks.

But, maybe some members want to communicate with ghosts. laugh

Better in YOUR opinion. Rather than ATTEMPT to control what others see,
by purposely commenting on & thus regurgitating older blogs from your clique,
why not write a new blog, with something (that you believe is) "better" in it ?

There is nothing at all wrong with that. One needn't blog if one doesn't feel comfortable doing so. We can get to know you through your comments on the blogs.
However, if there is something you feel passionate about, I suggest giving blogging a try, when
you feel comfortable doing so. Believe it or not, you can inspire some people.

You are quite welcome. That was the primary purpose of this blog - how to information.
I knew it would help some people, who like to learn and didn't yet know about another option
literally within their reach.
Most of mine are fairly new and but one blog I just created so it's brand new today.

I'll most likely delete the older blogs or else lock them down so they can't be brought back up again.
Honestly, I don't see a problem with an old blog being brought back to life once in a while by someone with stating something relevant to that blog. When people are purposely doing it, just because they want to eliminate people from seeing newer blogs, or newer people, that's despicable.
z - I've known you for many years on here. I know what you are about.

n - you're another whiner. You whined that I stole my caption contest blog idea from you
when I came back on here recently. That's how I was greeted by you.
I've been doing that caption contest for YEARS.
Perhaps you copied the idea from me ?
I'm not accusing you of that, because your blogs are much too insignificant for me to notice.

Perhaps you can improve that by at least learning how to write.
K - welcome aboard CS. Good to see you. cheers Apparently, that recently happened to a lot of good people, while the trolls just start a new ID, as there is nothing of value that they lost, or need to carry forward.
E - What is the ID of that troll you clashed with ? Which blog ? Do you "clash" often ?
Why do some people like to make some things so complicated when they aren't really?

If people don't like the current blog topics that are available then either don't read them or create their own.Geesh.
....or re-sort them, so you see the most current ones,
rather than the old ones purposely chosen to crowd out newer ones, as detailed in this blog.
