The friends issue

Family, that’s one thing. Even the whacky relatives are part of the furniture, but friends are different, friends are the family you choose.

So - if your friend makes friends with someone you really dislike, and wants to be all pals together, what do you do? Smile sweetly and play nice? Point out the new friend is a troglodyte? Or just quietly back off because anyone who can have that as a friend is obviously not the person you thought they were?

You can do that with friends, but it happens in relationships too. SHE disapproves of HIS friends, HE thinks HERS are a pain in the proverbial. SHE thinks he spends too much time out with his buddies, and doesn't need so many boys nights out, especially with those particular boys. HE blames her friends for every glitch in the relationship. And so it goes on.

Who do you choose in a case like that? Love me, love my friends / Dump the friends, or dump the love / Lay down ground rules / other. Well, that's why I'm asking, really. Has it happened to any of you, that your new best person has a toxic friend, and how did you handle it?

Thirst for new

Today my Indian ex-classmate says he misses me so much and ... he would divorce if i agreed to come to him...even we just had some talks and walks togetger sometimes when we studied together a year ago and some online conversations now and then. He has no issues with his current family! Why are many men unloyal? Willing to abandon his wife who has shared nearly 20 years of ups and downs to run after his own new feelings that who knows will subside quickly after being satisfied?

Feeling bad for him but suddenly feel sorry for me lol. Why most of married men like me not single ones? Whereas, i m not looking for NSA or FWB. So ironic.sigh

Great Great Thanks

RELEASED and GRATEFUL!heart beating heart wings

Phone broke, overspending for beloved got me in sudden trouble at the beginning of new year. this incident shows a big gap in my financial risk management lol.

though it is new year time i had no other ways but make phone calls to my debtors to ask for the money back even though i didn't want to do that at all. 1 picked up the call with another promise to return the loan in 1 or 2 years doh the other even didn't pick up the call frustrated

Superfrustrated, i didn't make another call to the 3rd one and started talking with my friends. and in a blink my problem is solved cheering weeee friendship hug

Sometimes in life, the effects don't come in a linear way but a zigzag. we can hardly receive a help back from those we exerted it to but normally from someone new. however, i guess it goes in a circle and one way or another, good things will bounce back to us innocent

You made my day, friends. Love you all, the good and the bad those taught me and made me feel heart wings

Formal education could not guarantee how high or l

It doesn't matter how high is your education... character remind.

I had a friend whom I know she was a good person and have high education. One day, she met a guy whom I know he was not a decent guy (unfortunately, she always attracted by "weird" guy) . But they dated anyway... everytime they argued, she always came back to me and simply realising her mistake and always talk bad about her ex.

One day, I found her "flirting" with the same guy... and next day still she said bad things about him to me. I was a bit fed up with her attitude and I said to her just be honest either you like him or not but don't play with words in front of me. And so, she said "I am done with him..".

Few days ago, some friends told me that she is dating the same guy now and of course they kinda judging her. I felt bad seeing a group of friends talking bad about my good friend, so I tried to check with her if the rumours was true or not... I was ashtonish how she reacts... in her Facebook, she wrote something terrible about me... and she even cut me off from her friend list. She insulted me and my boyfriend so bad in public area (Facebook) !!

Will you still talking to a person who already insulted you badly in public ?

Me, no definitely. After a good friendship I offered her, this is what she did to me? I don't need such a person to be a friend in my life. I keep respect myself by accepting her apology but I would never forget what she wrote. She is out !

I thought she is my level in term of attitude in fact no she is not. I was shock to see how she was able to produce such bad thoughts and bad words... and I feel so pity to see people with high formal education could not manage to control their wild side.

She Is No More!

My dad’s girlfriend is history. On Sunday, while my sister took her on a tour through the garden, I happened to find myself in the bedroom where she left her handbag. This was by sheer coincidence. She had been very careless. Her handbag was open and her ID book had slipped out. liar

I used my phone to take a snap of the contents. To prevent people from snooping in her bag, I put her ID book back in the bag and closed it. Now, was that not very thoughtful of me?grin

With her ID details in our possession, we learned that she was using her middle name. Not too out of the ordinary, but we also learned that she used a different surname. That was suspicious enough. Well, so we thought. doh

No sooner were they gone before we climbed on Internet. My sister logged on to the credit bureau with her employer’s password. She got permission to do it – providing we pay the normal fee. A credit check revealed that the strange surname that she used was her maiden name. We still had nothing on her. And then we hit the dirt under the section on spouse details. Spouse details? Yep, there was a husband. shock

My sister called the husband, pretending to be a friend, asking to talk to his wife. He said that she’s visiting her mother and should be home in about an hour or so. When asked where the mother was, the answer came as no real surprise. She was in the same retirement village as my father. Bingo! head banger

We decided to pay my father a surprise visit, hoping that she would still be there. Alas, she had left, but when we presented my father with the evidence, he admitted to ‘helping’ her few times with her car installments. He said that she promised him that she will pay him back. Like hell she would. Well, she is going to do it now. I’ll see to it. My father was wise enough to make electronic payments directly into her banking account. thumbs up

Anyway, not too much damage done and my dad is fine; only a bit pissed off with himself. If anything, this episode just brought the three of us closer – if that was possible at all. For the first time ever, he discussed his will and his financial position with us. No nasty surprises there. yay

I took him to the airport last night. He’s going to visit an old friend in Gauteng. No, he won’t be asking her to marry him, but I suppose hoping can do no harm. hmmm

I can understand why most of you thought that I’m meddling in my father’s private affairs. I would probably have said the same if it was not my father. It is easy to talk when the problem is not close to home but I’m sure that if it was your father, you would have acted the same as we did. Blood is thicker than water. comfort

Sit tight! Tomorrow is Friday! yay
