David Lee Roth vs. Sammy Hagar...

In the early days, singer and front man for Van Halen David Lee Roth took them to the top of fame. Unfortunately his crazy personality and ego was more than the band could take and he had a falling out with the group. Auditions for many, but he was replaced by singer & guitarist Sammy Hagar who was already successful with the rock band Montrose and started a solo career.

Everyone has their favorites and while David had the energy and stage presence, Sammy came into the group and added a flavor of a more refined voice and songs.
I was fortunate to see Van Halen live, probably16 or 17 years ago with Sammy up front.

If there's a vote of who was the overall best, I'd have to say Sammy is the one!

So my dad found an old pic…

My dad found an old glam shot I did when I was 20. He said Omg look how beautiful you were. What happened? Omg my dad is so mean. Haha! Enjoy this pic all. My dad wanted to keep it. I said no I want it! It’s my photo! Then he found another one so I let him keep it but my gawd what am I a dog now?? rolling on the floor laughing I didn’t even like how she did my makeup for this session.

So this is not a catfish guys because I dated the photo. Don’t come at me. Just thought it would be fun to post.

Pet Peeves... well sure, I've got a few...

Answering a landline... the phone rings and you pick up the handset but the coiled cord is so wound up that bringing the handset to your ear pulls the base up from the desk!
very mad

It cannot be so hard that when you answer the phone you hang up by putting it back into the cradle the same way you picked it up.
Unless there are office gremlins going around in the middle of the night twisting cords, I have no explanation for this phenomena.

The desk I inherited was once used by many until I took control. Go somewhere else to answer a call. I wipe it with alcohol a few times a day. I usually get to the office by 10 and some are there by 8. It's not hard to see if the phone has been used. I have to detach the cord and hold it out to unravel the coiled cord so it stays flat.

Jordon peterson discussions

Jordon peterson is really on form in this interview...the interview is regarding the dutch farmers protests and other protests...the disruption to the supply chain....the wef cult attacking meat production and wanting all the great unwashed/the majority...to eat bugs or starve

the wef unelected cult...want all of us to own nothing and them to own everything..the megalomaniac control freaks in the 1%...really do think billions will let this happen..but i say support the farmers and make a standwink

imagine a nightmare reality...of worldwide communist dictatorship and any freedom...a long distant memory...imagine not having freedom of choice...freedom to eat the foods you enjoy...freedom to travel where you want too...freedom of expression...freedom of speech...freedom of creativity....owning nothing of your own....living each day....just surviving and having nothing to look forward too

Phantom of the Opera Tribute

I just read that Broadway is closing the Phantom of the Opera after 35 years. I saw it performed in San Francisco with a group of friends. So sad it’s going to be shut down. They are shutting it down due to ticket sales dropping due to Covid. This is a clip from the 2004 Hollywood musical. The only movie I love Gerard Butler in. I would take that singing voice over that face any day. More like I would accept his disfigurement because of his singing voice. He is a complete Don Giovanni.

This is my favorite scene from the movie. Aw man I can watch this again and again. At times I feel like the Phantom. Ugly and that nobody wants me. I didn’t say that it’s true. Just how I feel at times. I think that’s perhaps why I love and cherish this musical so much. And I love how the opera house just watches him perform in complete awe. He’s fantastic.

RIP Phantom. You shall be missed.

Tuesday's Gone...

You can call off the dogs as the Twitter King's prediction that he would be indicted today didn't work out. Hopefully none of you took the midnight train to Manhattan to protest today.

The DA's office made this statement: "We will not be intimidated by attempts to undermine the justice process, nor will we let baseless accusations deter us from fairly applying the law."

Better luck next week...

(Songwriters: Allen Collins / Ron Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd)
And I don't know
Oh, where I'm going
I just want to be left alone
Well, when this train ends
I'll try again, oh but I'm
I'm leaving my woman at home, Lordy
Tuesday's gone, with the wind
Tuesday's gone, with the wind...

Sreenath the Lion

Sometime in November 2005, I read Leon Uris's novel "Exodus". This novel is about the birth of the Jewish state of Israel which became an independent country on May 14, 1948. The heroine is Miss Karen Fremont, an American nurse looking after Jewish children on the island of Cyprus. There, she meets an Israeli freedom or resistance fighter Ari Ben Canaan. The novel had been made into a 1960 US feature film bearing the same title starring Paul Newman, directed by Otto Preminger, as well as into a short-lived Broadway musical (12 previews, 19 performances) in 1971. It was a worldwide best-seller, translated into a dozen languages.

Every able-bodied Israeli citizen(both genders) aged between 18-60 years should enlist in the Israeli armed forces to serve their nation during an attack or invasion or war from external aggressors. I appreciate this policy of the Israeli government. This is not the case in India.

When I was 13 years old, i.e., sometime in 1980, I read "Roots" authored by African American author Alex Huxley. The book is about a 16 year old Gambian teenager abducted in 1767 from the Gambian village of Juffure, West Africa taken on board the American ship " Lord Ligonier" bound for Maryland and sold to a Virginia planter. This book is based on fact and not on fiction. It has all the elements of a Hollywood movie; however, no US filmmaker has come forward to adapt it to the celluloid screen.

Still vividly remembering the stories after he grew up and became a writer, Haley began to search for documentation that might authenticate the narrative. It took ten years and a half a million miles of travel across three continents to find it, but finally, in an astonishing feat of genealogical detective work, he discovered not only the name of "the African"—Kunta Kinte—but the precise location of Juffure, the very village in The Gambia, West Africa, from which he was abducted in 1767 at the age of sixteen and taken on the Lord Ligonier to Maryland and sold to a Virginia planter.

Creation of Israel, 1948 On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel.
