Gorilla Glue mishaps are good for business...

It appears, Gorilla Glue mishaps are good for business as the woman in Louisiana had TikTok on fire, GoFundMe racking up thousands in her account, a plastic surgeon pays her travel and gives her a free haircut, some real beauticians claim to actually use Gorilla Glue, Gorilla Stock goes up due to the increased business.

The photos are out. As I thought... they weren't able to melt the glue and salvage her hair, what they did is remove the glue to expose her month long growth.

She was very lucky.
Not done with some details:
The money went to charity and she lost some weight from all the crying and stress.

Writing a Book

Soooo,

a friend of mine is encouraging me to write a book about fasting and how to do it successfully, because it comes so easy to me, while she and many others in our group struggle with it.

I'm kicking the idea around, sounds like it could be a fairly easy write.

At first I was concerned with how little content would be in there, however I have another friend that
fasts and she eats horrid ish to break her fast. Processed foods! Like are you effing kidding me???!
Seriously, omg!

So yeah, I gotta include the proper way to prepare, tricks on how to stick with it, and also the best G.I. friendly way to break the fast.

New project, yeah yeah yeah

New project, yeah yeah yeah

Bamboo

Have you ever built anything with Bamboo? I've made a shelf unit with it using long 1/4" threaded rod and 8 to 12 inch long Bamboo tubes as separators between the shelves. It looks great. The shelves are 1X4 foot pieces I bought at Home Despot. All you need is a hand drill and a 1/4" drill bit to drill the boards for the threaded rod to go through. some nuts and flat washers and you're ready to assemble the shelf. My son and his GF Shannon outdid me when they made a 10 foot long shelf unit using actual pre made shelf boards.
I've got a ton of Bamboo growing behind my house so that part of it at least, is free.

Future of the generations to come...

Being a born optimistic I can't agree that its that gloomy. But then I know its not brighter either.
Usually at the dawn, people loose faith and inclined to the darker side. May be I am an exception laugh
Question is not of societal norms and beliefs, neither its about the atheism. And also it's not about the political or economical ideologies, be it socialism, communism, capitalism or cronyism. The basic thing is human nature. At the root humans in general, are selfish and greedy. The tendencies get inflated in an insecure environment.
It starts with socialism, then they try to control and in the process, things end in communism. End result is a totalitarian regime.
Likewise, it starts with capitalism generating a battalion of day dreamers and they make hay while the sun shines. The wealth wrests in a few hands. End result is the same.
Socially, atheism and belief system, swing like a pendulum.
I think Buddha has provided the solution "Madhya Marg (Mid Way)".

My kitchen renovation project...

My kitchen renovation project is going slower than I planned. The 3 stone top fabricators I would choose from were closed for the week between Christmas & New Years, so I'm awaiting prices and availability. Actually, I got a price from one and waiting on the other 2.
So no contract and no one to measure to start fabrication.
The old sink and top have been shifted to the new location and the plumber did a temporary reconnect. That will work until the new countertop arrives.

I planned to assemble the drawers over the weekend and drawer slide mechanisms for the cabinets were in separate boxes, but the screws are no where to be found. So I missed the opportunity to assemble and install them.
I got a response from the office where I bought the cabinets and they will gladly replace the missing screws, but I'm not going that way for a day or so. At this point, I'll pay one of my installers to finish the cabinets as I'm working on 2 new projects.

Cabinet parts and tools are stacked everywhere in the kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway and my plan is to re-stack them into one area so the place doesn't look like the aftermath of a tornado!
That said, I'm pretty comfortable predicting this phase of my kitchen renovation will be finished before the end of the month.

I broke down all the old cabinets and tossed them into the dumpster so there were no signs of construction going on. Yesterday, I see one of my neighbors is doing a renovation too, but they placed the old cabinets, drawers and parts near the dumpster for everyone to see.
I hear the garbage truck this morning banging around so that stuff should be gone today.

Profiles, first responses and the big hook....

....hopefully, none of us on CS will recall the days of real live Vaudeville shows. A pretty wild, often raucus, and very non-forgiving time to be a stage artist. Rarely, after coming on stage, a new performer, often a waif-like member of the weaker sex, would freeze on seeing the Globe Theater pit style crowd, or merely be so bad, that the catcalls and ripe veggies began to fly. Usually, two alert stagehands, typically of the stronger sex, would then extend a 20 foot long large pole with big hook on the end, sort of like we see in swimming pools where kids are these days---and then tug her back behind stage. It even worked after he fainted. So it often is for many of us here on CS, in a variety of ways. For me, "social smoker" in the profile gets the hook, for many more than health reasons. Or how about when a response begins with "handsome" or "beautiful", both of which are completely appropriate in time? And, let's go to private mail right away. Most helpful for automatic vetting.

Blog '#173' -The Face In The Explosion.

I b'lieve it's just to the left of the center of the explosion...kinda like the profile of an alien looking up and to the right.

Does anyone else see this?
If not there - Where the hell's the damned face?!

This'll drive me nuts until I KNOW!

Rubber...

Rubber is a flexible latex product produced from the juice of a rubber tree. In varied process, it's mixed with other chemicals to create different products. The process for a soft latex mattress is different than a rubber tire (tyre) used on a car. Charles Goodyear developed vulcanization in 1839 where he mixed latex, sulfur and heated the mixture to harden the liquid rubber.

Over the years, new uses for rubber were invented. One process is to coat the exterior of a hard plastic object to give it a soft feel without affecting the structure of the inside. I've seen some plastic writing pens with a soft rubberized sleeve to make them comfortable.

One problem with products made with rubber is longevity. Tires have a manufacturing date stamp and people are warned against buying from an unreliable source as many 'new' tires have been been produced years ago and the rubber elasticity declines on an old tire making them unsafe.

I bought an emergency spotlight with a rubberized handle. Never used it. One day before a hurricane, I decided to open the box and try it, only to find the rubber handle was sticky to the touch. I found the rubber feet on my water pic (purchased 2 years ago) leave black marks on the countertop.

My laptop mouse deteriorated within 2 years and I was lucky enough to remove the rubberized surface with 91% rubbing alcohol. I have a very expensive mouse/controller I use in design that has programmable buttons and a 3D wheel. The rubberized surface is also deteriorated and sticky. That was a $300 purchase and they are no longer manufactured. Basically, I'm in trouble if I cannot find a replacement on Amazon or eBay. I dusted the surface with talcum powder so it wouldn't be so sticky and will experiment if I can clean it with alcohol or a solvent to remove the rubberized coating and not destroy the controller.

That said... be cautious of long-term purchases that have a rubberized coating.

How can you understand people's mind?

The most powerful way to win an argument is by asking questions. It can make people see the flaws in their logic.

The lyrics in his or her favorite song express everything that he or she struggle to say or express to others.

Two types of people who cannot look at in the eyes: Someone trying to hide a lie or someone trying to hide a love.

Those who are constantly accusing others are often the ones doing exactly what they are accusing others of doing.Keep in mind.

Generally, You should never forget what a person says to when angry because that's when the truth finally comes out.

When a person laughs too much, even one stupid things .That person is sad inside deep. When a person sleeps a lot that person is lonely.

Shy people are smarter than more trustworthy.

If you feel somebody is giving you a fake number, read it back to them incorrectly. See if they correct you are.

Listen carefully to how a speaks about other people to you. This is exactly how they will speak about you to other people.

Someones who become angry easily, over silly things, subconsciously desires to be loved.

Men or women who listen to similar music tent to be better communicators and have long lasting relationships.

Psychologically damaged people tend to be the strongest because they know they can survive anything. Pain strengthens the mind.

People don't listen to the smartest person in the room, they listen to however, acts as if they know what's right, according to study.

80% women use silence to express pain. You know she is truly heart when she chooses to ignore you.

Find out who has a crush on you: when laugher breaks out in a group, individuals look toward the group member they feel closest to.

People who walk at a quicker pace are generally seen as more confident and happier than those who walk at a slower pace.

It's impossible to remain angry at someone you truly love. Anger lasting for more than 3 days indicates that you are not in love.

When someone refuses to tell you what's wrong, you tend to things it's your fault.
