What a Waste

My grandparents had the same phone in their home for 40 years.
My parents never wasted a thing.

From Facebook:
Checking out at the store, the young cashier suggested to the much older lady that she should bring her own grocery bags, because plastic bags are not good for the environment.
The woman apologized to the young girl and explained, "We didn't have this 'green thing' back in my earlier days."

The young clerk responded, "That's our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment for future generations."

The older lady went on to explain:
Back then, we returned milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over. So they really were recycled.

We walked up stairs because we didn't have an escalator in every store and office building. We walked to the grocery store and didn't climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks.

Back then we washed the baby's diapers because we didn't have the throw away kind. We dried clothes on a line, not in an energy-gobbling machine burning up 220 volts. Wind and solar power really did dry our clothes back in our early days. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing.

Back then we had one TV, or radio, in the house -- not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen, not a screen the size of the state of Montana. In the kitchen we blended and stirred by hand because we didn't have electric machines to do everything for us. When we packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, we used wadded up old newspapers to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap. Back then, we didn't fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power. We exercised by working so we didn't need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity.

We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time we had a drink of water. We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and we replaced the razor blade in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull.

Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or walked. We had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And we didn't need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 23,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest burger joint.

A well deserved scold

Try That In A Small Town
Jason Aldean
EXPLICIT
Sucker punch somebody on a sidewalk
Carjack an old lady at a red light
Pull a gun on the owner of a liquor store
Ya think it's cool, well, act a fool if ya like

Cuss out a cop, spit in his face
Stomp on the flag and light it up
Yeah, ya think you're tough

Well, try that in a small town
See how far ya make it down the road
Around here, we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won't take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don't
Try that in a small town

Got a gun that my granddad gave me
They say one day they're gonna round up
Well, that shit might fly in the city, good luck

Try that in a small town
See how far ya make it down the road
Around here, we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won't take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don't
Try that in a small town

Full of good ol' boys, raised up right
If you're looking for a fight
Try that in a small town
Try that in a small town

Try that in a small town
See how far ya make it down the road
Around here, we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won't take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don't
Try that in a small town

Try that in a small town
Ooh-ooh
Try that in a small town

Today’s fake feminism movement

In my opinion God has created men superior than women in every aspects, men’s vision are more broader than women, if we talk about past two centuries regarding women rights so they were somehow genuine if we compare today’s feminism movement which is totally fake based on the agenda of insulting of men only ,women who think that they are superior to men they are making them selves foolish because they are not mentally or emotionally strong than men ,first of all men and women bodies are different so how they could be equal?? I have seen many men are also victims of violence of women too but I’m surprised that why there is not “men too movement like me too movement “? Obviously new directions are giving to society which will lead to destruction only

Christmas Tree lights - Monthly electric bill

I filmed this at a house in Hagerstown, MD last night. The music is coming from a private radio broadcast from the house on 102.3 FM and the lights are synchronized to the music. This is a reduction of a 45 minute show (which repeats in a loop from 5:30PM till 10PM) They also have a resident dressed as Santa giving candy to all the cars that stop and of course the helpers you see who are wearing their own lights and carrying the candy and small toys for children. I am wondering what their electric bill will be like. laugh

I especially liked the Nativity display at about minute 3.

freedom taken for granted

GOD has made a BIG mistake in giving us freedom. HE must have had a sense of humor in giving us freewill than earning the most precious freedom. In the 60 billion people or more giving freewill to human is the most dangerous thing ever.Imagine a human doing whatever he wants to even murder or disaster would really create utter chaos!!!!!

on the other hand if humans had to earn their freedom means he love and take of the earth very preciously and lovingly.

Why?

Why are some people so uptight about breaking the rule on not asking questions in a blog? If, when asked why such a rule should be rigorously obeyed, all they can say is, "well, because it's a rule", then, quite frankly, I have no time for them. If seeing a question that shouldn't be there is so offensive to you that you feel compelled to annoy others who are not offended by it by complaining, it is probably a sign of some sort of compulsive disorder, and the referral of yourself to a psychiatrist, rather than the blog to a moderator, would probably do you more good.

So, if you are one of those people who simply cannot bear to see a question in a blog, I make no apology for asking: What the fcuk is wrong with you? mumbling

Gun Control & Syrian Refugees - European Style...

Recent News Items...
President Obama has said he wants the U.S. to take in 10,000+ Syrian refugees in 2016.
Hillary Clinton has said she supports U.S. gun control laws similar to those of Australia/Western Europe.

Gun Control & Syrian Refugees...
Soooo........Europe?.......How's that workin' out for ya?!

More News Items...
In response to the influx of Syrian refugees, Europeans are rushing to arm themselves like never before.

In Austria - where gun control laws are among the least restrictive - it is now almost impossible to buy a gun. They've been cleaned out. Quite likely, many will be re-sold in more restrictive countries - at black market prices.

European women are buying a substantial proportion of the firearms.

Some Belgians are now calling for repeal of restrictive gun laws.

A whole new ball game

For the female exhibitionist there are various ways to indulge the impulse; showing varying amounts of cleavage being one popular and easy option. But what about men? They can be exhibitionists, too. It’s high time the designers of male fashion cottoned on to this. Trousers with cut-outs revealing a discreet amount of testicle would, in my opinion, catch on like wild fire. I really think the industry is missing a trick here.
