Is our future an Ice Age?

I was watching Natl Geo a bit ago and they say our time now is a freak of nature, and that it's very normal for the ups and downs of ice ages and that they can come as quickly as a decade. They say that what stirs things up even more is volcanic action, the
larger the eruption the more quickly it propels us to another ice age. The dust that's emitted from the volcanoes swirl around in the air and that the gases I believe they said sulphur dioxide is emitted as well, and between all of this it will eventually be hard for the sun to shine through, and think of all we rely on now in our homes, and if we had power outages that lasted for years, and possibley, eventually for centuries..

They have different scientists that do core studies all over the
world from 2 mile ice cores--which tell them what took place, about how long until the next, and core samples in caves that
have layers of animals that were washed in them, trapped and died. They can tell by bones and teeth of what mammals were in there, by the layers from when. It's amazing, but the thing that struck me is how would I keep warm? I need a wood burning
fireplace, but at that point, how long would wood last around your area?

I think it's also interesting that my brother-in-laws girlfriend
(my sis passed away 5 yrs ago)is working for a company that can grow vegetation in their home--tomatoes, herbs, all kinds of stuff, and that wow, should we really be paying attention to this
and will our future be gardens in our basements?

There is a push to go green, but I think we're beyond late, but
we can still do our part, but should we be thinking about how we'll survive? I'm not a doomsdayer, just challenging you to think about our ancestors lived in homes heatd with wood, and very limited tecnology. How can we survive with all our technology?

Think if there were only certain areas that could produce food, and only so much and how expensive--you know, money talks....

Darren Hayes - Insatiable

THIS IS THE SEXIEST SONG I HAVE EVER HEARD.....

(Songwriters: Afanasieff, Walter; Hayes, Darren Stanley)

When moonlight crawls along the street
Chasing away the summer heat
Footsteps outside, somewhere below
The world revolves, I've let it go

We build our Church above the street
We practiced love between these sheets
The candy sweetness scent of you
It bathes my skin, I'm stained of you

And all I have to do is hold you
There's a racing within my heart
And I am barely touching you

Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you insatiable

The moonlight plays upon your skin
A kiss that lingers takes me in
I fall asleep inside of you
There are no words, there's only truth

Breathe in breathe out, there is no sound
We move together up and down
We levitate our bodies soar
Our feet don't even touch the floor

But nobody knows you like I do
'Cause the world may not understand
That I grow stronger in your hands

Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you insatiable

Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you insatiable

Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you insatiable

Baby, oh yeah
We never sleep, we're always holding hands
Kissing for hours talking and making plans
I feel like a better man, just being in the same room
We never sleep, there's just so much to do
So much to say can't close my eyes when I'm with you
Insatiable the way I'm loving you, oh baby, yeah

Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you insatiable

Turn the lights down low
Take it off, let me show
My love for you insatiable
Turn me on, never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you insatiable, baby

Oh baby, when I'm looking in your eyes
Insatiable, that we ain't loving you
Ohh, looking at you insatiable, insatiable
For you insatiable for you insatiable
Love for you insatiable
Love for you insatiable
Love for you insatiable

Bonnie Tyler - It's a Heartache

It's a heartache
Nothing but a heartache

Hits you when it's too late
Hits you when you're down
It's a fool's game

Nothing but a fool's game
Standing in the cold rain

Feeling like a clown.

It's a heartache

Nothing but a heartache.
Love him till your arms break

Then he lets you down.
It ain't right with love to share
When you find he doesn't care for you.
It ain't wise to need someone
As much as I depended on you.

It's a heartache
Nothing but a heartache

Hits you when it's too late
. . .

It ain't r'ight with love to share
. . .

Oh it's a heartache

Nothing but a heartache.
Love him till your arms break

Then he let's you down
It's a fool's game

Standing in the cold rain

Feeling like a clown.

It's a heartache
Love him till your arms break
Then he let's you down
It's a heartache

Nazareth - Just another heartache

Who took the smile out of your face
Who put the tears and sadness in its place
Who took the sun out of your sky
Don't turn around or ask for reasons why
No place to run, nowhere to hide
It's just another love turned bad
Some smoke that's gettin' in your eyes

It's just another heartache, just another heartache
Just another hurt to take
Another bridge for you to cross
It's nothing but a heartache, nothing but a heartache
Just another big mistake
Another game you have lost
It ain't nothing but a heartache

Always wore your heart out on your sleeve
You said you'd always cared and needed to believe
There comes a time to give, there comes a time to take
But a sentimental heart will be the first to break
Don't try to run
Don't try to hide
It's just another love turned bad
Some smoke that's clouded up your eyes.

As You Go Through Life......

* Winning isn't everything but wanting to win is.

* You would achieve more, if you don't mind who gets the credit.

* When everything else is lost, the future still remains.

* Don't fight too much or the enemy will know your art of war.

* The only job you start at the top is when you dig a grave.

* If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for everything.

* If you do little things well, you'll do big ones better.

* Only thing that comes to you without effort is old age.

* You won't get a second chance to make a first impression.

* Only those who do nothing do not make mistakes.

* Never take a problem to your boss unless you have a solution.

* If you are not failing, you're not taking enough risks.

* Don't try to get rid of your bad temper by losing it.

* If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

* Those who don't make mistakes usually don't make anything.

* There are two kinds of failures: Those who think and never do, and those who do and never think.

* Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win.

* All progress has resulted from unpopular decisions.

* Change your thoughts and you change your world.

* Understanding proves intelligence, not the speed of the learning.

* There are two kinds of fools in this world.: Those who give advice and those who don't take it.

* The best way to kill an idea is to take it to a meeting.

* Management is doing things right. Leadership is doing the right things.

* Friendship founded on business is always better than business founded on friendship.

What doesn't kill us.....

So I met a guy on CS.... We talked for some time and his lines were really good. For a time I believed him.

But looking back now, I realize his lines had an effect he never anticipated. They made me feel beautiful and confident. So much so that it carried over into real life. Suddenly I wasn't a shrinking violet anymore. I was standing tall and proud, I was even moving differently.

And people noticed. I started getting invitations. I didn't accept. After all, I was in this "relationship". But that is over and the invitations are still there.

So, I will continue my journey and I know I will find the person I am meant to be with. I may get a few more bruises, but they will make me stronger.

I guess what I'm trying to say in my own convoluted way, is that unintentially he gave me something even he can never take back. And the last laugh is on him.

So even the players of this world can have a positive effect, so long as we don't give too much too fast.

Did the Music really Die in the '90s?

I think when it comes to the best music throughtout the decades, it depends.

To a lot of folks, back in the day-produced the best music.

I believe the best music came from the 60s-90s.

I personally like the 90s the best.

The 90s had the best songs and rap songs when it came to R&B/Hip Hop music.

It was the best era of Whitney Houston, Tupac, Mariah Carey, Boys ll Men, etc.

I also like the 60s, the era of the Supremes, The Temptations.

The 70s, the era of Disco. (I still don’t see how disco played out as quickly as it did, compared to the rest of music!)

The 80s, the era of Michael Jackson. Though the 90s, had the era of a lot of emerging artists- to me nobody really stood out a whole lot.

The celebrities I mentioned above, stood out, along with many others. In the 2000s, still the same. Even more so than the 90s. Its still some good music out there.

I like all kinds of music really. Though my favorites are R&B/Hip Hop/Pop. But I listen to anything if it's very good.

With good songs-with people actually singing, and singing about something worthy. Good beats. etc. It’s not all about what they got, what they gonna get, their money, rides, bling, cribs, men or women. Not all about the party or getting some.

It might be rare, but feel good music is still out there in some places. We should note that not all the good music is stuck back in the day or scattered to the winds.
