ooby_dooby: The regime in Iran has arrested 40 journalists so far but they haven't been charged yet.

It's a turn for the worse to arrest international journalists.
It just keeps getting worse maybe my thread title was right.

I think there is no hope for west thumbs down , its arrogance and acting like most enlightened one would sink it

Hey J! And bebe n me! Dont forget us girls slugging it out! roll eyes teddybear

I feel i need to clarify my position on this issue.
1. If there is proven fact that iranian elections were rigged in favor of pres A, then i would hope that justice would b served for the sake of the majority of iranian citizens.

I'm not sure how it should b meted out, but i dont feel america should b responsible for policing the world, ESPECIALLY when america's own system has its flaws.

I suppose the only recourse for iran,IF THE ELECTIONS WERE RIGGED (i am very dubious of the western media's reporting of this and that mousavi has an agenda as we havnt seen him come out and try and quell the violence, only incite it more), is if all member nations of the UN strongly object to the Iranian diplomat at the injustice of it.wine
There are so many if's, buts or maybe's on this, and while i think u all want to see justice for the whole of humankind, urge u to all keep an openmind about it.hug

With all respect to you, I believe you have missed the point. This is not my opinion but what is being broadcast by many iranians. I have noticed that you keep going back to whether the election is rigged or not. This is no longer the key issue, rather the government not being willing to listen is what the protesting is about today. Don't take my word for it please. Read about it or turn on the TV. Or just ignore it and send some condescending comment with your wine cup like

I love how you quote yourself and then ..whatever man..this is so funny...it reminds me of this sketch on the show "In Living Color" where one of the wayans brothers (I think) plays a prisoner/poet using all kinds of words that make no sense..."I must circumsize the defecation of the reality that magistrates the......"

I am not 100% but I think in one episode he actually DOES SAY "there are prophetic meanings behind symbolic phrasing." after being told "What i believe indy was saying in his post is that democracy for all countries is the way." Deep man...real DEEP
