Exactly Conrad,it's logical to presume that the Police were going to bring the incident to a swift conclusion. Why the Family chose to go on the rampage is beyond me. If he wasn't a violent person,why was he in possession of a gun.

This is true, the British police don't use guns without very good reason. It was the reaction which surprised me, it indicates a lot of unrest in those areas.

According to a debate on the TV this morning, the guy that was shot was a well known hell raiser in the community. He was wielding a gun in a barber shop just a day or so before. One nutter less by the sounds of it, and some rootin, tootin' darn good shootin'.
