Freeze... you and me are doing our cabaret this Saturday... you remember, that tap-dance routine we tried out on the dart boards and then they sort of fell to pieces?
This must be the only bar in the universe that serves snack flies in wine! and he still wants to charge for them! At least he could fry and salt them !!!! add them to the peanuts!!!!

PS..............Smoky, I forgot to mention that I have been to some parts of the Drakensburg Mountains, In 95 I hitched it down to Cape Town from Zimbabwe.......it took me 3 months,but what the heck!!!
Are we taking part in the carnival maybe we could have a float?

Dear Cybahippy, (okay I just thought you may appreciate noting the "A" in your name). When you were in the Drakensburg did you ever stop at the Underberg Pub, in the town of Underberg? Thats the one with the infamous bar-counter (it also had a darboard where the 4 seated patrons on that side had to lean over their drinks if a game was being played...). its a very small pub, could only hold about 80 people on a good night, counting those on the counter.
Lots of strange things used to happen in that pub. For instance, the local guys would go there for a haircut, (the barmaid only did a head-shave with the shaving machine) and strip down to their under-rods (to save getting hair into their clothes) and then afterwards use the fire-engine hose to spray each other to wash the cut hair off.
Tourists loved those days.... many would spend the time taking photogtraphs of these lunatics. Fortunately it did not become too much of a habit, because soon winter would set in, and those antics were reserved for the summertime.

Smoky,I have no memory of 'your' bar in Underberg,infact I'd have to dig my map out to be sure I even passed through Underberg....although the name does ring a bell..!The Drakenburg mountain range is a long long one,so I could have passed within a mile or 2 of your pub or have passed miles and miles away from it.
