a little off topic too - so my friend who is a terrible gambler, bets on anything - loves the horses - was trying to stay away from the race track until some time last week. He awoke early on morning, too early, for no reason - looked at his clock and it said 5:55 am. He turns back to sleep ends up waking up late, he is so late for work. Jumps out of bed - rushes around - takes the elevator to his car in parking garage - the doors on the elevator stop on the way down on the 5th floor and opens to apartment 55 a. He gets to his car and it has a flat so he calls for a taxi. The number for the cab is 555-5555 - this can't be a coincidence so he decides to head to Calder Race Track. He lays a few bets in the first couple of races. No big wins just a few. Waits for the 5th race, lays all his earnings on horse number 5....Sure enough the nag comes in fifth.

On a serious note - Gun lobbyist are very powerful - they have great influence - Televised media have a great deal of influence too, and television personalities can be strong - it all depends on the advertisers -
I don't see any ads for guns on tv - but I do see ads for walmarts which does a brisk gun trade.

Don't put them into daycare centres and don't let Nannies to look after them. Nobody can give them love like parents. You have forgot the duties as parents. Don't let them grow up in their own worlds (you have to teach them what is good and what is bad). Looking after a kid is not same as looking after a puppy or other animals. We got to get you watching the right TV channels.....hunting and fishing shows on the Outdoor channel will get you up to date in the newest rifles and fishing tackle. Even teach you how to skin game and to make jerky.....filet fish and to pan fry them......the later so that when the fiscal cliff is reached.....you have enough survivor skills to out live the coming prolonged recession in the country.

I understand that prisons are over crowded and because of that some prisoners are let out earlier then their scheduled release date.
What I don't understand is how this guy convinced the parol board that he was rehabilitated and would never kill anyone again.
Now we find out that the dead body of his sister was in his house and that he wrote a note saying he wanted to burn down the neighborhood because he wants to do what he likes to do, killing people.

If anyone thinks the shooting of firefighters was just one nut case, you are mistaken.
People that Spengler came in contact with on a daily basis had no idea what he was capable of.
There are more Spenglers out there. They are going to come out of the woodwork and more will die.
Being a felon he wasn't allowed to have a gun, yet he had three on him at the time of this tradegy.
Years ago the capsules in bottles of Tylenol were intentionally poisoned. Customers bought the Tylenol and many died. It wasn't the fault of the company who makes Tylenol nor is it the fault of the NRA who promote collecting guns. I'm not a gun fanatic but you need to look at the real problem.
The problem is not guns. The problem is it's too easy for the wrong people to get them.
