I get fed up with Americans bleating on about the UK,but if you think about it, although it's a massive country ,they can't even agree between States. That to me speaks volumes.j.m.o.
actually there are fifty of them, and no interconnection,in other words, those Forums can't talk to each other! Waste of Cyberspace, actually!
CHOLENA: Americas prisons are already over populated. People who commit mass murders already spend their lives in prison or are executed. There are mentally ill people out there all over the place who can get a hold of a gun and kill dozens of people in moments. If they couldn't get a gun, they couldnt' do it. The problem is the access to guns.
Holmes was going to blow first responders up with some devices....made of house hold chemicals....do you want to ban bleach as well?
galrads: But but but, mr Conrad, sir we are living in a modern age and guns aren't needed to fight tyranny. Either tyranny is not possible and the people only have fear to fear in these modern times or government will nuke everyone, which would include themselves. Their is no exile evil in the world. Gun free zones solve it all.
Conrad73: so,you think they would all miraculously stop murdering if it weren't for Firearms? How about Rwanda, for instance?
You cannot seriously be using Rawanda as an example of what would happen in America if America institutes tougher firearm restrictions? That's a absolutely ludicrous comparison.

GUZMAN1: What about the fourth amendment? About the right of security, isn't it?
The 4th Amendment is basically the right to be secure in your own home. I met someone whose home was invaded by the police way back in the 70s or 80s in Concord New Hampshire. If interested in knowing more, contact me as I published it.
In terms of the 47 states, HOORAY!!! I hope that all 50 states get on board. Gun control isn't about guns; it's about control.

As an American living in the UK, I received an Email that addressed what happened to cause British people to lose the right to have a firearm in their home. As a British subject, you deserve to know what that Email says because it involves your safety. Contact me if interested.

CHOLENA: OP, IT ISN'T THE STATES THAT ARE AGAINST GUN LAWS, IT IS CERTAIN PEOPLE IN THOSE STATES! You have complete tunnel vision.
Statistics from the past and currently all the polls PROVE THAT THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS WANT STRICTER GUN CONTROL LAWS.
You are living in your own fantasy world.
Cholena ~ Can you READ???
Here, I will quote your quote to you and this time read it nice and slow and clear your mind and wait on the interpretation of what you just read so perhaps you will get it right this time. I am saying this in the most Comassionate way, not in meanness at all, okay?
"Thousands of gun owners across America have had enough of the Obama administration’s attack on the Second Amendment – and they’re preparing to take their concerns to the capitols in at least 47 states this Saturday at 12 p.m.
Texan Eric Reed, founder and national coordinator of the “Guns Across America” rallies, told WND he’s irritated about all the talk of new gun-control regulations and overreach by the federal government in violation of our Second Amendment rights.
“I was trying to figure out why people weren’t being more proactive about this, Reed said. “Then I realized I’m part of the problem. It takes somebody to stand up and say, ‘Hey, we’re not going to accept this. We’re against it.’
“We want Americans who feel the same way to come out. We want to stand up, be united and get our point across.”
Now, Thousands of gun owners across America ~ The would be the certain people in the 47 states would they not? Correct me if I am wrong please. So can you tell me where Tunnel Vision comes in to play here???
“We want Americans who feel the same way to come out. We want to stand up, be united and get our point across.” ~ You are not invited to participate as you do not feel the same way. Why are you so upset? Many feel that these Laws should be left up to the individual STATES, not the Federal Government. I myself do not have a problem with properly introduced Legislation as I have stated in previous postings on this thread.
The Federal Government is putting it's nose into the STATES business and not All STATES are alike. We the People who live in these STATES have a voice in how are communities and our STATE is run. This is how our governments were designed.
The origional post of this thread is simply an invitation to those who would like to let their STATE Government know their concerns. I do not see any problem with this.
So settle down, take a deep breath, let it out and relax. It's no biggie!

How rude! I might ask you the same but I bet that is not politically correct. or......

CHOLENA: Point one: Actually, it is the people who are being manipulated into paranoia and think they all need guns who are the "masses" being manipulated.
Point two: Is is not true in most places in the world, especially in the modern Western world, that the average person needs a gun for self protection. I've lived on 4 continents and traveled extensively around the world. Never needed or wanted any kind of weapon for self defense.
It's a lie, a lie of paranoia that makes people think they need guns to protect themselves. Statistics show that a gun makes you less safe than more safe. People with guns are more likely to be hurt by a family member or to hurt themselves or another family member than to protect themselves against crime.
You have to consider the number of guns and gun owners in USA. Most estimates range between 39% and 50% of US households having at least one gun (that's about 43-55 million households). The estimates for the number of privately owned guns range from 190 million to 300 million.
These people have a Voice. We are not the same as most people in the rest of the world.

You think I need advice from an American living in the UK as to what goes on in my own country!
And all this from a person who reportedly has first hand knowledge that the Newtown massacre never happened.
Go somewhere else with your conspiracy theories and propaganda .
