funxsinia: My thoughts and prayers with your sister friend.
One thing to keep in mind too is that the Boston Marathon is an international event with participants from around the globe so I don't see this as just an American tragedy.

Your right about that.... Problem is, did Authorities just get relaxed and didn't think it could happen? We are living in dark times my friends, time to pay attention to your surroundings and not your phones. We had a "bomb" threat at work, and they said don't use your cell phones, I looked at them and said, BS, you want no cells, get a cell phone blocker. Anyone can call in the detonator, are you sure you want that? Well come to find out it was a sleeping bag in the brush by the windows. Still don't have cell blockers... sad.
We have 4 runners from my city there, all accounted for. One runner is 66 yrs old, and was behind the first explosion and then ahead of the second one. Right in the middle with room to spare.
youngest surviving victim is 3 years old. initially reported limbs flying in the air are proven to be something different. one doctor interviewed at the scene suspects some wounds serious enough to result in removing limbs.
Oregongold: According to the NY Post, a Saudi nationalist is under guard at a hospital!!! Surprised?
lets not get excited.. "FBI reportedly investigating as a terror attack Law enforcement sources tell ABC and CNN that the FBI considers the twin explosions to be the work of terrorists. No arrests have been made. Officials have not given any indication of what triggered the powerful explosions. "
Bogart_1960: yes, but "the Associated Press: A senior U.S. intelligence official said two other explosive devices were found near the end of the 26.2-mile course"
Actually, they found five (5) bags (knapsacks) which have been taken into possession with the intent to blow them up because they believe at least two of them contain explosive devices.
I'm not making this up or assuming.....I am listening to Brian Williams on the NBC World News.

I hope people dont start blaming people before all the facts are known and while emotions are high meant to add to my post earlier my heart goes out to the families of this terrible tragedy

We cannot assume it is foreign, and isn't correct right now.... best wishes to all the families, and all those there.
