serene56: Just came across an article about a website that encourages betrayed wives to expose the women their husbands had affairs with.

As in their names and other personal details.Thoughts?

I have no sympathy for anyone cheating, let it be the married/in a relationship person or a person who knows that the other is taken.

But I don't find this the right way to go about it. Shame your husband who cheated on you and kick him out, but the woman mightn't have known about it. Even if she has known, it's YOUR partner who cheated on you and I wouldn't believe a "it just happened and doesn't mean anything)" or "she went after me" etc. roll eyes He could have said no and he should face the consequences.

yea its a bad idea, i would say 9 times out of 10 most women that are with the men dont know there,s a wife/girlfriend.
If men are caught cheating its best just kick him to the kerb, he did the damage. he knew he was married /in a relationship and should have stayed loyal regardless of a woman making a play for him etc.
women should not be attacking women for a man cheating..

unlaoised: He did indeed...I can tell you, though, that men are more than capable of the same thing

Nooooo, how can you say that,

Better to keep it in the family, so to speak.

Don't throw out the baby with the dirty washing, or something like that.

this is not only disturbing but also illegal.
but what I do not fathom with the women is that, it takes two to tango. the woman might not have known your husband was married and nohing binds you and the woman. why not just leave your cheating husband and forget about him and move on with life ??!!!

I just have to wonder how many laws worldwide a site like that would be breaking. I hope the webmaster has good liability insurance, as they're likely to be sued all the time for defamation at the very least.
It'll just be used as any revenge site. Only a few legitimate posts and the rest just out to make someones life hell.

Glitch101: I'm not in agreement with this.

Men lie through their teeth when in the grips of an affair ,so some women involved with married men just might be innocent victims themselves.

Better to just move on in my opinion.

Whereas women are always totally virtuous, never have affairs, never knowingly go out with men in relationships or marriages. Really? How does that work then?

I too think the site's a waste of time and it's best to move on and if the site got popular I could see law suits flying (as one poster pointed out it would probably be breaking all sorts of laws) and people claiming huge damages for libel and the effects of it on their lives.

I'm not in favor of this for a number of reasons. First, the other woman may not know he is already attached. He may be untruthful to her, as well. It happens. And, two wrongs don't make a right. There is a lawful and actionable suit that can be taken to court, "Alienation Of Affection". Also, and I know many people who are betrayed don't want to hear this, but look--he's done with you if he's interested in someone else. Give it up. What's the point in harboring angst and negativity? It is futile. Give it up. Also, consider this-we live in a country of lawfulness. This could cause a lawsuit, and you might be mistaken about the other person and their knowledge or motives. Uncool. Even if there isn't a "law" per se, against posting those women's names, it's the wrong way to go about it. Revenge is bad karma, unless it occurs naturally, with no prompts or effort on the person who feels slighted, betrayed, etc... I've lived long enough and worked with enough of a variety of people to know what I'm talking about. I strongly advise AGAINST this expose`. Not a good idea at all.
