Kaybee50: REQUIRED READING

Friday, 21 February:
Closing Party
Everyone is invited to join in, not just those who have participated in these Olympics. This means, EVERYONE!

Pop in throughout the day and evening. Join the fun!

Post pics about the Olympics, talk about your favorite posts, Chit-Chat, Help us evict Tru from his new digs, Bring the party with you, Bring drinks, Food, Music, Fireworks, Etc.

It will be a day-long party right here!!!

Saturday, 22 February:
Awarding of Medals
I will not be posting the total scores tomorrow for two reasons: 1) So the awards will be a surprise, and 2) to give everyone a chance to post their answers.

I will be posting the medal winners Saturday morning.

I will go for broke and copper-fasten my Irish Caribbean reputation of partying. I shall go for C !

Thanks for fun thread Kaybee hug

I would go for "C", with an addition.
I would walk over to the gorgeous judge, Kaybee, drop my towel, lean over, pick her up in my arms and carry her across the snow to a log cabin.
The log fire would be burning, soft music and a big rug would be in front of the fire.
I would lay her down on the rug, look into her eyes, kiss her soft lips and spend all night "showing her how I appreciated all the effort she has put in". wink

Kaybee50: FINAL EVENT - Day 23 Your last night in Sochi. With the games behind you, this is your evening to relax and unwind from the strenuous events of the first ever CS Olympics. Your battered and bruised and having nightmares of skating cows in ripped tutus. How to regain your sanity?

A Russian sauna.

You sweat away your aches and pains, then run outside and jump into the snow or an icy lake, then come back in to sweat some more, eat, drink and be merry.

We reminisce about the thrills and agonies of the last 2 weeks. A lot of vodka is consumed, and it's time for us all to.....get naked?

What are you going to do at this point?

A) Keep a towel wrapped around your body, have apple juice or one shot of vodka, and get to bed early. You have a long flight back home in the morning.

B) Throw off your towel, have several shots of vodka, and get to bed at a reasonable hour. You have a long flight back home in the morning.

C) Throw off your towel, drink all night (drinking alcohol not required), sweat with your CS Olympians, run outside and dive headfirst into the snow. And take 2 aspirin in the morning with one helluva hangover, looking like something the cat dragged in, as you board the plane in the morning for an excruciatingly long flight home.
Answer is: A ... It does feel like 23 Days though. yawn

Difficult, much like the alphabet I start with A, maybe progress to B and might end with C. Not something I would plan in advance. ABC it is.drinking

In the lead!cheering sweet.
The answer should be A or B, but let's face it we've fallen in our rears more times than we can count, show our bums in more than one occasion, suffer the penalties and sent to the pen a lot (that's for tru). At this point we all deserve fun. A huge party, food and drink from every country, get pissed together and whatever happens, happens. I would recommend take the painkillers before going to bed, get up at a decent time and remember we stay put until the end of the awards ceremony, so by then the hangover should be gone. If we miss the plane, there'll more.

Kaybee50: EVENT - Day 9

The Super G.

It's a foggy and overcast morning at the top of the mountain in Sochi. The Super G is about to begin - a downhill speed skiing event that requires intense concentration and razor sharp turns with wide set gates.

Each skier runs the course one at a time, and due to the unusual warmer temperatures in Sochi, the course conditions are unpredictable and several skiers wiped out during the practice runs yesterday.

Several injured skiers were helicoptered off the mountain and heard mumbling something about being distracted by a cow. The cow reports have thusfar been unsubstantiated.

What is your preference as to the order in which you will ski the Super G?

A) go first, and set the score to beat.
B) be in the middle and hope the course has been cleared of cows.
C) go last, knowing what the score is to beat

I'd go first, since I'm the only one who have runned followed by bulls. Cows won't impress me.

Kaybee50: Event - Day 5

Vladimir Putin is honored to welcome you to the Sochi Olympics. He has invited all of you to his Sochi residence for dinner this evening. Very exciting!

The evening begins with drinks and appetizers, and you finally take your seat around a table sparkling with the finest china, crystal, cutlery. Laid out before you is a sumptuous feast. Everything prepared is Russian cuisine.

The main dish served is Black Bear, a typical Russian dish. To refuse to eat what is served to you would be considered a great offense to your host, and may cause diplomatic tension between your country and Russia.

Do you:

A) Eat the entire portion.
B) Try one bite.
C) Risk offending Vladimir and not even trying the bear dish. You will be on the front page of the Russian Tabloids tomorrow with a scathing headline.

Let's try one bite, and run to the infirmary to an antidote.

Chess is a winter sport? I could play a match if they provide me a proper "seating".

What a question, C of course! buddies

I'd give the vodka a miss, but I'll take some strawberry margaritas, drinking lots of music and dancing in between the sauna and the snow. dance

We can go to bed and sleep for the next week when we're home. Preferably cuddled up with a hunk without his skiing gear. wink
