Kaybee50: EVENT - Day 9

The Super G.

It's a foggy and overcast morning at the top of the mountain in Sochi. The Super G is about to begin - a downhill speed skiing event that requires intense concentration and razor sharp turns with wide set gates.

Each skier runs the course one at a time, and due to the unusual warmer temperatures in Sochi, the course conditions are unpredictable and several skiers wiped out during the practice runs yesterday.

Several injured skiers were helicoptered off the mountain and heard mumbling something about being distracted by a cow. The cow reports have thusfar been unsubstantiated.

What is your preference as to the order in which you will ski the Super G?

A) go first, and set the score to beat.
B) be in the middle and hope the course has been cleared of cows.
C) go last, knowing what the score is to beat

A.

Kaybee50: EVENT - Day 11 Ski Lift Gondola Snafu. You and you are teammates are together in the ski lift gondola, which is taking you up the mountain for the snowboard cross race.

You're high above the snowy ground, nervously anticipating the upcoming event, when suddenly the gondola comes to an abrupt halt. Something is not right. It's not starting to move again. The minutes are ticking by.

The competition begins in 20 minutes!

What will you do to get you and your teammates to the starting gate of the snowboard cross race on time?

Lasso one of the cows that was in the way previously and she will pull us to the start quicker? dunno

Kaybee50: FINAL EVENT - Day 23 Your last night in Sochi. With the games behind you, this is your evening to relax and unwind from the strenuous events of the first ever CS Olympics. Your battered and bruised and having nightmares of skating cows in ripped tutus. How to regain your sanity?

A Russian sauna.

You sweat away your aches and pains, then run outside and jump into the snow or an icy lake, then come back in to sweat some more, eat, drink and be merry.

We reminisce about the thrills and agonies of the last 2 weeks. A lot of vodka is consumed, and it's time for us all to.....get naked?

What are you going to do at this point?

A) Keep a towel wrapped around your body, have apple juice or one shot of vodka, and get to bed early. You have a long flight back home in the morning.

B) Throw off your towel, have several shots of vodka, and get to bed at a reasonable hour. You have a long flight back home in the morning.

C) Throw off your towel, drink all night (drinking alcohol not required), sweat with your CS Olympians, run outside and dive headfirst into the snow. And take 2 aspirin in the morning with one helluva hangover, looking like something the cat dragged in, as you board the plane in the morning for an excruciatingly long flight home.

KauriMan: So Tru, Pete

I'm glad we got together here, to have some fun and give everyone a laugh. It has been the best part of CS that I have been involved in for all the years I have been here.

It was all in jest folks, no reputations were harmed in the making of this Thread..

Thanks KGB for putting all this together and working your lovely butt off holding it together

This butt may not be the loveliest, but it has been my sincere pleasure KM.

LadyDiz2: Oh definitely C, I'll bring along my bottle of Moet (miraculously still intact) and share it with everyone. Toss away my towel, kick up my heels and party up a storm. And as the party winds down I'll take a moment to lie on the snow making lazy snow angels as I look at the stars and reflect on the new friendships that were made, the possibility of romantic sparks igniting between some team members and I will send up a wish to the heavens that by the time the next CS olympics come around, these contestants will have left the CS field having found the love that they sought.

Thank you Kaybee for creating this magical event, my team members for raising the SA flag so high, and all other team members for being such great sports. Cheers all you lovely people.

Joining LadyD making angels in the snow. Thank you for your wonderful imagination, which helped bring this alive for so many. flower

twazzle70: My initial thought would be to go with B....,,but i know once the booze starts flowing and the fun begins then i would end up partying to the end with everyone...so my answer K.B is ....C.....I can already feel the monstrous hangover though,,gonna take more than a couple of aspirin to sort this one........K.B i thankyou sincerely for organising these games,,been great fun and it must have been quite a task to keep up with it all....well done young KAYBEE....

Except you will be throwing off your curling outfit. Which may be difficult, as the men might want you to keep it on for awhile. wink

If anyone is planning something like this for the World Cup, give us a shout in case I'm still around. We are not the best team in the world for no reason, but I will be with La Roja.

Thank you so much Rose. It has been a true pleasure getting to know you on here. teddybear

JeanKimberley: I see that love is in the air at Sochi Olympic games- dog adoptions are underway. Those puppies are sooooo cute!

In the spirit of parallel to the real winter Olympics as a CS Olympic competitor, I shall work to adopt one of the many stray cows on the slopes of the CS mountain - they are udderly charming!

wave I prefer multiple choice, but will take a stab. It is too high
to jump, so I will use my cell phone to charter a Helicopter with
a rope ladder to retrieve us, splitting the cost evenly. Problem
solved, arrive at the start on time.cool
