secretagent09: I agree that life is too short to worry about anything that happens on CS.
People either like you for who you are or they reject you. If they don't reject you they harass you. Or they try to embarrass you or make others laugh at you. It happens not only on CS but wherever you surround yourself with people.
I would never try to make someone like me. I'm honest, opinionated and I tell it like it is UNLESS it will hurt someone's feelings.
I know why people don't like me on CS.
Last night I lost about one second of sleep worrying about it
truer words were never spoken. (I will always believe that people dislike another, especially from the start, because they see in them the ability to ascertain what they're "about", and are intimidated by this because they feel transparent, and for many, that's not a good feeling. JMO)

I think dislike begins when 'one open the mouth in a bad way' to undermine and disrespect another person (usually calling by inappropriate names) because of diferent views ...while avoiding to directly discuss and address dispute in appropriate elaboration !!! Giving personal insoults is never showing strength of person but weakness...

And if people don't like YOU, it may be that they find you supercilious.

Two suspicious people having a stand-offish time with the presumption of knowing the other being part of the problem. Normally knowing what the other is about(for real)is a good thing.

You cannot be serious ... the pen is mightier than the sword and that's a sentiment long held throughout the ages because it happens to be correct!
You're NOT going to be one of those 'precious little snowflakes' I've been hearing about lately ... apparently they meltdown at the least insult ... like more people liking someone they didn't vote for ?

Seeing the bad in people and things especially backdropping against low trust and insecurity. In this context acknowledgement is synonymous with judgement and therefore you cannot accept someone warts n all. To accept their warts is a negative influence and so it is better to carry off the air of commercial cheeriness in public and go home to your bottle of bourbon and anti-depressants.
