How Do You Deal With People In Your Life That You Don't Like? (30)

In general I try to 'make the best of difficult circumstances' in a professional situation.
Beyond work ... I can't think of a situation where 'must intereact with them' would apply?
I do my best to avoid them, if they seek me out to cause trouble - there are many ways to deal effectively with that as and when it arises !

If its a work situation I just make it short n simple stick to talking about work or other mundane things.
Other than work I don't feel I should give my time to people I don't like.

If it is a work situation, I keep it work-related, professional, and to a minimum
Otherwise, stay away from them

CherryBomb: I always feel honesty is best. I would suggest telling them (politely) how you feel. I detest the fact that a majority of people are FAKE...and associating with anyone you don't want is in fact acting fake. More of humanity needs to believe in telling it like it is, this way people don't have to pretend or constantly guess or assume how someone feels. Also... another person cognizant of how you feel may very well decide to tell the person(s) your thoughts about said person, and with that comes deeper work place problems. People are Two-faced and backstabbing...so tell the truth before someone else tells it their way.

I don't burn bridges with family members or close friends.
If we have a spat....it eventually gets resolved and forgiven.
Neighbours, I make sure I get on with....it's too uncomfortable being around them otherwise. We all look out for one another's properties when out.
Everyone else(I don't like).....I avoid, even to the point of aisle-jumping at the supermarket.
