Hi there. That's what I mean by requirements.
I've had a lot of money, and little money, and prefer having just enough, not more, not less.

SlainteMhaithx: Im in agreement with that. I think money is the ruination of some people and the betterment of others...it depends on whose hands its in.

Bearwoman: I've always lived comfortably.
I'm rich by having my adult sons in my life.
Bear, my 2 boys r starting to spread their wings to fly the nest. Yes, they will always be in my life, and maybe some added extras as well. Maybe 2 daughters, and the pitter patter of little feet.
Nothing wrong with having money, it's not about boasting or showing off... If you are successful in your professional field it's normal to earn more money... People should not feel bad about it...

The only thang I hate about my money is the gooberment taking a lot of it and spreading it around in wasteful ways like paying for abortions, Obama phones, Congresspersons pension and medical plans et al.

Depends where someone's money came from and what they did for, that money? politicians did unspeakable things for their money and a lot of money is blood money...peadophiles in Hollywood have a lot of money to cover up their sick and wicked ways...innocent children have suffered for generations and still the money is paying off the corrupt law system:((( When are these children of Hollywood going to ever get justice????When money no longer matters

I perfectly understand you... I hate it when my contribution goes to people who never make an effort but are given everything on a plate...

The biggest bucks come from crimes, we all know that Lee... But we are talking about our own effort in making our living more comfortable...
Good post, S. I already said a few things about this in a post on winning the lottery. Having enough is really the best way, and most of us can do well with much less than being rich, especially with gratitude. I have plenty, but far less than many school chums, and only play a few dollars weekly, so as to be able, if lucky, to be more than a dilletante philanthropist. Many of us forced the Catholic Church to open up its coffers to us, and I gave mine away, over several years, to friends in need and to charity. True story. Aaltarboy.
I think everybody plans to do awesome things for society when they win lotto, until they actually win. Most end up poorer than they started after a few years, because getting the money is one thing, keeping it quite another...
Money are important and I don't trust anyone who says they don't care about money... It's funny how people want so "little" which is actually everything, all the comfort of life, nothing more than "everything"... Wanting nothing much means live like a monk, to have meals three times a day, a roll of toilet paper and a pillow to put your head on...no cars and holidays, pubs and shopping sprees... Lottery is for the lazy, one has to get out there and put an effort and hard work to become a person who's skills will be appreciated and paid accordingly, simple...
