I was in a grocery store. The clerk rang up my order which was small. I don't use credit cards to pay for groceries and started counting out money and change to pay her. I realized that I didn't have enough money to pay for the order. I was only 62 cents short and told the clerk to take a certain item off the cash register. The next person in line said don't put that back, let me help, here's the 62 cents. They do that kind of thing here in North Carolina certainly not in New Jersey where I'm from. I thanked her over and over and she kept saying....all I ask is that you pay it forward. I still haven't had the opportunity to pay it forward but there's no doubt that I will.
I love that type of thing and practice it daily. Funny same thing happened to me a couple of months ago, but it was64 cents. Found out later she had just moved into my community and we've since became friends, just visited with her this morning.

That´s nice !
Same thing happened to me at the hairdressers the other day. I was short of one euro and a nice french gentleman offered to pay the bill with his bank card and I gave him the cash I had. We´ve been friends ever since.
I often help people out in one way or another, and I also get help.

The three of us women are going to get a reputation for not having enough money.
Can't wait to see the thread Lee will write about us

Early this morning a man waited for me as I entered the gym holding the glass door open..He didn't have to do that as I had two other glass doors I could of entered.
The last time someone did a nice thing for me was last week when I got an unexpected hug from an Asian lady who I met walking along the park trail with her husband. She saw me taking photos of birds and stopped to chat and she just decided to give me a hug. A week prior to that, I met a 96 year old lady at the drug store and she told me that she just got back from the hospital after having some polyps removed and that she's cancer free so I gave her a big hug. Kindness is catchy.

You are so right about that. Kindness is catchy. It makes me feel good because I see how the person receiving it was happy.
