I've been single since 1971. Right after my divorce I wanted to get married but my daughter was 10 years old at the time. I didn't want to bring someone into our lives permanently in case it was a disaster. I dated all those years and for a bit after she went to college but eventually I realized I wouldn't be able to stand living with someone again.I celebrate my freedom in strange ways. I don't have to have dinner on the table at a certain time anymore, I eat when I want to. I watch what I want on tv. I decide who can visit my house, who can stay for dinner. I don't have to ask permission to buy curtains. It's a celebration !!
