Good money too, a liter of honey is fairly expensive.

mollybaby: Honey bees rarely sting.
They die when they sting, so only sting to protect the queen or when they can't otherwise avoid it.

A small number of bees do survive if they can get the stinger out without ripping it off their bodies. Not many but some do.

I switched from cane sugar to raw honey about 20 years ago. Believe it or not I buy honey by the 5 gallon pail about every 2-3 years. It's way cheaper that way.

any fruitfarmer without bees is an idiot...
Bees are needed for the fruits.
Without bees no fruits.
And because it's not going to well with bees, I would say, the more bees the better.
