Well just checked the profile of an interesting man. Very disappointing. He wore sunglasses on all pics and mentioned to be extremely short

I will read them sometimes just out of curiosity.
I am not one for trawling through loads of profiles day in and day out, it adds no value to my life, but can be funny when a wild card turns up, even more so when they launch themselves onto the forums or blogs.
There have been some gas tickets on this here site over the years.

Profiles are typically crap. They're a few or sometimes too many cliches strung together. It's rare to get the measure of a person from reading a profile. Chatting with someone makes things much clearer. Going with the gut is not a good idea online, either. In person is a whole other story.

I read some from the messages I get... and usually I find out that they are 3'1" tall, a student, with a income between $100,000 and $150,000 per year, and looking for a man to make happy... unfortunately though, they are around 31 years old, and seeking someone in the age range 45 - 85... Believe me, I've been tempted...

You use the profile pic and bio to see if he/she is worth taking anything further. Someone may tickle my fancy but when he claims to have a PhD but can't spell his own name properly, I'll take it that he's a skeet.

I hide my profile all the time but then I can't receive messages from friends. I got a message from CS the other day because I didn't have a photo of my face so it said my photo's would be deleted. I've seen loads of profiles that have photo's of flowers or whatever as their main photo and they're still here. I must have been reported

HologramLover: Most people just look at the PHOTO. If they think the person is HOT they will contact them. No one takes the time to read long profiles that look like the communist manifesto.
